"Miyume, are you fucking insane?! You could've gotten yourself killed!" Klein yelled at her, she stood up from the ground once she caught some breath. Miyume dusted off her clothes before glaring at Klein.
"We would've all gotten killed if I didn't kill the boss." She said, putting her sword back in its place. "Would you want to die in this stupid game?" She asked.
"You certainly seem like you want to." Klein growled. Tension built up as they kept their deadly gazes at one another. The guild were in fear of what could go down.
Dale walked up to the both of them. "Hey guys, lets not fight. We should head back and let this cool off." The two ignored him.
"I saved your ass, you should be thankful." She said, before walking out of the dungeon. Nobody had said anything else, the guys all trailed behind her, back to their home.
Klein stood still, looking up at the big bolded letters in white. Congratulations! He read. Klein sighed now looking down to his feet. Should I have gone a little bit easier on her? I don't want to piss her off to the point where she'll leave the guild. . .
Klein soon left the dungeon, slowly walking back home as well. As he reached the village, he saw a couple sitting outside eating dinner, they held hands, laughed and smiled at one another. He wanted that same happiness. I need to tell Miyume.
"Miyume, we need to talk." Klein said. She was out on her little patio watching the sun set. Miyume ignored Klein at first, but she then turned around to face him. She had a red, puffy face, tears were sliding down her cheeks, her eyes were bloodshot and glossy. Some of her hair stuck to her face, she attempted to wipe some of the tears away from her face, but more kept coming.
Klein froze in his place as he looked at her, he had the idea that it was his fault for making her cry. He felt like such and asshole.
"Miyume. . ." He whispered.
"I feel. . . So worthless!" She yelled, punching the wall to her left. "I'm the weakest person in this guild, I'm only a level 23 while you guys are almost at level 60! I proved myself today to you, that I was strong! Instead you had to be an asshole!" Klein took a step closer to Miyume as she rambled on.
"Klein," She said, calming down just a little. She wiped away more tears off her face with her sleeve. "For once I had faith in myself," a step closer he took. "And I killed it," and another. "I knew it was a death wish, but it was either that boss or us." One more. "So I would appreciate the apology for yelling at me. It didn't matter if I died, because I would've died saving you and the guild." Klein was close enough to reach her. He wrapped one arm around her back, and pulled her into his arms. He held her so tightly, she stood there dumbfounded.
"Klein. . ."
