It was a normal day at the Eaden schoolhouse, the bees were buzzing, the birds (shudder) were chirping, and two kindergarteners were wrestling in the yard.
Wait, what?
Wheatley walked over for a closer look and saw his daughter fighting an older, bigger boy, and winning.
His first thought was: "Yeah, go get him tiger!" followed by: "Wait, she shouldn't be fighting, She could get in trouble! Why am I encouraging this? " and then: "what are they fighting about anyway?"Wheatley inched closer still, and heard Sophie shouting at the boy (what was his name, Tompkins?): "You take that back!"
"All I said was-"
"Take it back!" Sophie interrupted the boy with a punch to the nose. "My daddy is not a moron! If he's such a moron, how come I. (punch) can. (punch) do. (punch) this?!"
"I'm sorry!!" The boy cried, squirming away from Sophie, and running away as fast as he could. "Your dad is smart! Very smart! He's a genius!"
With that, he was gone, leaving Wheatley feeling an odd mix of pride and mortal terror.
This was based on a mental image I have of a young Sophie beating on some kid, with Wheatley seeing a bit of himself in her and looking completely terrified. It's pretty funny.Internet cookies to anyone who knows where I got the name Tompkins, and/or the phrase "odd mix of pride and mortal terror."724 Out.
