Michio woke with a start. He was sweating and gasping for air. Breathing a sign of relief, thankful his dream wasn't real, he got out of bed. Trying to make sense of what he just experienced. Michio had been trapped in a room,
furnished to look nice and comfortable, but when he tried to leave, he found the door locked. The windows were barred, turning the lounge into his own personal hell. When he backed away from the exits, however, the room became
tidy and luxurious once again. He began to go mad, running around the constantly shifting room. Screams rang out from every side, and Michio's vision blurred. The room spun and he felt nauseous, and that was when he woke up.
Walking down the stairs, he prepared himself breakfast, still caught up in the stupor of his dream. Just then, the door bell rang, calling Michio back to life. When he got dressed, opened the door and found a medium-sized package
sitting on the ground. Bringing it inside, his wish was granted. The package had a logo on it, reading "Argus". Argus was a revolutionary technology company, and the package contained their masterpiece. NerveGear, a helmet that, once
put on, could transport a person's brain into a Virtual Reality simulation. At the bottom of the box, Michio found his second treasure. A game called Sword Art Online. It was a VRMMORPG, only distrubuted to 10,000 players.
He had been waiting for this package for nearly three years, and it was finally here. His mind buzzing with excitement, Michio ran into his room. Laying down on his bed, he slipped on the headgear and inserted the game. "Link Start!"
