The five best kept secrets of Eureka

More often than not all the accidents the Fargo had were actually made by another scientist but he took the blame anyway after all his job couldn't be lost for something like that.

Jack Carter was no idiot, he often acted like one though. There were a total of three people in Eureka that knew just quite how intelligent Jack actually was- excluding himself of course.
The first was Zoe who while looking for an old photo had found her dad's stats from when he first became a Marshall. Her Mum once said that you lose brain cells when you drink but there was no way he could lose that many points.
The second person was Taggart. Jack still didn't know how after all he had always down played how smart he was, going so far as to 'do bad' on his I.Q test for Eureka.
The last person was the one no one would expect, Nathan Stark. The banter is really fun and Jack loves the looks that Nathan gets when he says something rude but wrong, he can't look at him for fear of seeing that twinkle in his eye and bursting out laughing.
It's not like Jack cares as long as the most important people in town know he's happy-and the element of surprise comes in handy.
3. Nathan doesn't always think about world domination. That's not to say that there's not a nagging voice in the back of his head that doesn't give him some good ideas about how some of the devices he comes across could be put to good use if fixed properly.
It's just Nathan has found something else the little voice likes to talk about.
4. Another good secret of Jacks is that he is terrified that he'll make a mistake or do something wrong. He's had this fear since he was a teen and he's gotten good at hiding it but it's still there.
It got worse after his high school sweetheart, Angela died.
It died down for awhile when he was a marshal-to the point where he almost forgot about it but since becoming Sheriff of Eureka his Atychiphobia has intensified partly due to the fact that most of the scientists have no sense of self-preservation.
As a result Jack suffers from bouts of insomnia and often feel's he's not doing much good in Eureka.
5. But the biggest kept secret in Eureka is the one every person in the town knows about and know one outside realises.
It helps curb Nathan's voice and Jack's fear as Jack has Nathan to help him through the bad nightmares and the dark spells and Nathan's world domination voice is mollified with merely dominating Jack.
It's the perfect solution and best kept secret in Eureka.
Jack Carter and Nathan Stark are and always will be together.
