mine ^_^.

Opened Dreams By: Freezy a.k.a shaylyn Strong arms locked tight around him, the waft of lilacs and roses surrounded him with security. The summer breeze pulled his silver hair with gentle and loving hands. A smile was a beacon of happiness on his mother's face. But beneath the love was an inner sorrow that could never be mended.
Her voice broke through his dreamlike state, like a swimmer through the waves. "Inu-Yasha are you awake?" Her son offered a grunt in reply. His mother lifted him up from her lap and stood him up so that their eyes were aligned. She searched his eyes that were gold around the pupil and gradually turned to a bold yellow. For a while Inu-Yasha was content to stand there gazing into his mother's face. Her waist length jet black hair her brown eyes staring with such intensity that he couldn't seem to break from her grasp. The trees around them swayed predicting a heavy rain. They sat underneath a gazebo that had an assortment of roses flowing from the roof to create a feeling of privacy. "I will have to leave Inu-Yasha.." Her voice cried in unspoken agony as she fought to keep back the tears that burned her eyes. "I'm sorry .remember that I will always love you." Those words echoed in his ears, burned deep into his soul. So that he would always remember no matter how hard he tried to forget. Her face blurred as he tried to demand why. He woke in his room with its creaky mattress, snoring room mate, and barren unpainted walls.
His legs were atop his bed tangled in the sheets and his upper body was on the rock hard floor. A wisp of lilac met his nostrils. With his demon-like senses he could smell what humans couldn't.
Frustrated with himself for dreaming of a past that should be forgotten he stood up. He dragged the bed with him causing it to screech its protest. He ripped the blankets rather than patiently untangle himself. His stomach grumbled in hunger.
"If I didn't need a stomach." his words were cut short by the boy whom he shared his beloved abode with. A pillow nailed him directly in the mouth causing him to gag on feathers.
Inu-Yasha was about to retaliate with some ammo of his own when the breakfast bell rang.
A smiling Miroku pulled on his hair and strode out of the room. He Left a dazed Inu-Yasha behind him then began skipping all the way to the mess hall.
Inu-Yasha broke from his daze and felt anger churn inside. He was brewing in anger all the while as he broke into a run to tackle the letch in action.
Down the two went in a tumble of arms and legs going for an all out war. If either of the two had noticed the hall go from screams of delight to silence in two seconds they didn't show it.
"Inu-Yasha and Miroku stand up," the voice was laced with authority and belonged to an old woman. Her steel gaze was locked on the two of them slicing through the battle hazed youngsters.
