Slowly, amber colored eyes opened.

Yet only barely. Jean coughed, his lungs filled with smoke. His head felt heavy, his body aching. He could feel a warm substance running down his forehead, blood making its way down his face from a wound on his forehead. His numb fingers gripped tighter on the wheel, his head lifting slowly up from it.

Flames. It was unbearably hot in here. The car was on fucking fire. The skin on his knuckles started to crack from his panicking grip around the wheel, quickly moving his head to the side as a sharp pain went through it. His eyes widened. Jean wanted to scream, but he couldn't. His voice just wasn't there. "Eren.", he whispered "Eren, Eren."

Widened eyes studied the brunette next to him. As much as he wanted to deny it, Eren was dead. Turquoise eyes just stared into nothing, dull and not as shining bright as they usually were. "Eren wake up." Over and over Jean repeated Eren's name, his voice raising until it was a screaming. No reply, not a single move. The heat was becoming unbearable.

Jean could barely move, enough to slightly turn around and reach out for Eren's lifeless body. Shivering fingertips stroked across the once so warm, and now cold skin. He tried to brush the blood splatters of his boyfriends cheeks, yet it only smeared more and made an even bigger mess. "W-Wake up, this is not funny anymore, you s-suicidal bastard."

Jean tugged at Eren's hair lightly. Whenever he did so, usually a small laugh would escape the brunettes laugh before hitting Jean against his chest and telling him to stop right there. But now there was silence, the only sound being the sobs leaving Jean's chapped up lips.

He pulled Eren closer, his arms shivering under the weight of the others corpse. He pressed his lips against Eren's and blew air into his mouth, his lungs aching as he did so. But now matter how hard he tried, the other didn't start breathing again. "Don't die. Don't. Please. Please Eren."

His hands framed the brunettes bloody face, looking down at his lifeless expression. Tears rolled down Jean's face, falling down onto Eren's cheeks and mixing with the blood on it. By this point of time Jean felt like melting. The flames surrounding the cars were terribly hot, and the light brunette was sure he'd die soon as well.

In the faint distance he could hear sirens. Repeatedly his thumb wiped over Eren's cold cheeks, trying to clean them again but his own tears just wouldn't stop. "If I died we'd be together now.. I-I'm so fucking sorry.." Tightly he wrapped his arms around Eren's waist, hugging the others dead body as close as possible.

He didn't want this to be true. He didn't want to be without Eren. He just wanted this to be a terrible, terrible nightmare and to wake up facing Eren, alive and happy. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry.." He buried his face in the boys neck, more and more tears rolling down his cheeks.

Yet he flinched heavily as suddenly the burning door got opened, and Jean felt himself getting dragged out of the car by his arms by a fireman. His eyes widened as he watched Eren's body just fall over as soon as it couldn't lean onto Jean anymore. Struggling as much as possible he tried to free himself from the fireman's grip.

"N-No! Eren! Let go you fucking bastard! E-Eren's in there! He needs to get out! Get him out of there!", he screamed at the top of his lungs, watching the flames move from the outside of the door to the inside, slowly writhing on the seats before they found their way onto soft brown hair and the fabric of clothes; slowly consuming what used to be Eren Jaeger.
