His onyx eyes stared with no emotions as he stood among the clouds, waiting for the time to come.

A crowd of humans circled a dying body on the death bed, weeping and crying.

The owner of the body was a young man around his thirties.

He was admitted to the hospital five days ago due to an aeroplane crash.

Even the doctors couldn't save him.

He was now still in his mortal body—the body which could feel pain—still breathing, chest still moving.

But very soon, he'll be an immortal. An immortal that could feel nothing, the raven-haired angel thought, spreading his wings as he prepared to fly down.

Finally, the man was willing to let go of his final breath.

His heart stooped pumping oxygen and his chest became static, his brain stopped functioning.

His soul stepped out of the body and stared at his family members who were crying like there was no tomorrow.

Hibari flew down and stood beside the man.

"Time to go." the skylark said, monotone.

The brunet bit his lips bitterly. His tears fell, staining his transparent cheeks.

Hibari didn't question although there was something that lingered in his heart.

He feel weird. Why was the brunet crying? He would go to heaven now, why was he sad? He should be happy.

All these years escorting different souls to heaven, Hibari had seen several souls shedding crystal-like liquid.

Hibari didn't knew what were those called.

The other angels told him that it was called tears.

Tears.

Hibari thought.

Is a sin.

And he truly believe that. From what he learned, tears were fake.

They are the deadliest weapon God has ever given to human race.

Tears are known as secretions that cleans and lubricates the eyes.

They also indicates deep emotion.

If there is a person on earth who weeps over the lost ones they preach to, while there is a lost one to save, while there is a Magdalene to be forgiven, while a world lies in wickedness, let them weep.

The angels have once told him.

But Hibari refused and denied the thoughts.

To him, tears are sin. Dirty sins, he added.

"Stop crying." Hibari said as they stood on the clouds, leaving the hospital room.

The man swallowed.

"C-Can I say goodbye to my mother and wife?" he stammered, stealing a glance at the poker face angel.

Hibari nodded, and turned back.

"Goodbye, mother... Sayonara, Kyoko. I love you all. I love you all..."

The brunet's body shook.

And tears fell again.

.

"Why are you crying." Hibari asked—more like demanded to know as they flew. The man looked at Hibari, genuine weirdness painted his expression.

"I have to cry now. Or else I'll be rebirth with regrets when I lose my memories." the man replied, hint of pain linger in his tone.

Regrets.

It's another sin.

From a spiritual perspective, if you're doing your best to live in accord with God's will (at least now, if not then), and if you can see how God brought good out of the evil in your life, why regret?

That was what Hibari thought.

Those who regrets are those who have committed several sins.

And because they are guilty.

.

Finally, they reached and stopped outside the door to heaven. Hibari stood outside the door, waiting for the soul to enter.

The crying soul hesitated before he took a deep breath and walked in.

The door creaked close slowly.

The skylark heaved a sigh before spreading his wings again.

Hibari flew down to escort another soul.

These souls have sins—tears and regrets—yet they could enter the realm of heaven.

Hibari mused without emotion, but with amusement.
