Disclaimer: I do not own Digimon.
Tamer…
You were there for me, when everyone else was sick of me.
You were able to forgive me after you found out I was a bad Digimon, and helped me when I wanted to restore my true form.
You protected me, and helped me defeat Chimeramon.
I'm truly blessed to be your partner.
I remember your words,
"Antylamon, I'm so proud of you." And your smile had shown me that you were sincere. "Let's continue to get stronger together!"
And the only reason I decided to stay Antylamon was for you.
So when your Digivice had suddenly appeared in Calumon's possession although you were in the real world…
(No…)
We all knew…
(NO!)
…That you were never coming back.
To think… She who had become Tamer King… could be overcome so easily by one of the humans' automobiles.
I couldn't protect you… when you had saved me so many times before.
When I had heard, I'd lost the will to stay in my Ultimate form; it had held too many memories. Memories of victories by your side, which still feel new, despite the years that have passed.
I'm sorry, Tamer…
We will never forget you.
…
Rest in Peace.
"All he ever does anymore is stare at that Digivice…" Gargomon muttered to himself, watching his friend, Lopmon, lament the death of their Tamer.
He was grieving too - everyone was… But it's been over half a century - in the Digital World, at least - since her death, and Lopmon was the only one who seemed not to move on as easily as the others.
Lillymon looked down and shook her head slightly. "We should give him some time alone," she said, walking away from the mourning Digimon, with Gargomon following her.
Being immortal is such a burden, sometimes.
Author's Note: After playing Digimon World DS again, I got the idea for this, and it kept nagging me to write it.
I have no idea what happened, but it started out as a happy idea in my head... But I think I prefer this version better.
Don't forget to review! Thanks~
