Percy awoke in a daze. His head felt groggy and his hands were bound in chains. He'd been captured in a sneak attack on the Burrow. He and others from the order had held off the Death Eaters so Harry, his parents and key members could escape to a special holding place. He saw a hazy figure approach from the entrance of the cell which kept him prisoner. He felt cruel fingers grab him by his fiery red hair, yanking him upright. Piercing eyes stared out at him from behind a black cloth mask.
"What do we have here? If it isn't a slimy little Weasle!", a voice came piercing through the darkness.
Percy knew that voice, yet it was hard to place in his weakened state.
"I want the whereabouts of the missing order members and I want them now!"
"I don't have any idea what your talking about." he whispered hoarsely.
He felt a sharp stinging slap across his cheek. With a well rehearsed Crucio spell his body felt like a million sharp needles had been pierced into it. Pain enveloped his every limb. He screamed out in terrible agony. He had to be brave and never give in. He owed his family at least this much after everything that had happened in the past year. He'd betrayed their trust and he didn't deserve forgiveness.
"I see… so we have to show bravery right to the end, do we? You pathetic little Gryffindors are all alike, always dying for the wrong causes."
"Saving the wizarding world from the likes of your lot is the right cause. Its too bad I didn't realize that sooner."
"You're right, it is too bad you didn't realize it sooner. Cause now your time has suddenly run out!"
The mask came off and Percy saw the white blonde hair and piercing grey eyes of none other than Draco Malfoy. His enraged face was the last thing he saw before the blinding green light came to take him far away into the night…
