Disclaimer: I don't own The Land Before Time characters.
A/N: Topsy may seem a bit out of character; but, for the purpose of this story and the tragedy; everyone needs a shoulder to cry on once in a while; even him.

Tria's death was very hard on Topsy. She had died of her injuries that were sustained in a sharptooth battle. Topsy looked at the grave that was covered in Tria's favorite flowers; which are pink. It had only been a few days since the memorial service. Topsy walked by and saw Grandma and Grandpa Longneck at their nest and decided to talk to them. The elderly longnecks lowered their heads to Topsy's eye level. They noticed the tears that were forming in Topsy's eyes; and one escaped.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Grandma asked.
Topsy let out a few shaky sobs and lowered his head as more tears streamed down his face.
"It... It's not..." Topsy couldn't finish his sentence before sobbing out loud.
His body was shaking from crying so much and his vision wasn't great because of the tears in his eyes.
"It's not what, dear?" Grandma asked.
Topsy tried telling them what was bothering him; but, it sounded like something unintelligible. The elderly couple couldn't understand a word he was saying.
"I'm sorry; could you repeat that?" Grandpa asked.
Topsy couldn't continue; he had a lump in his throat that felt too big for him to swallow. He walked up to the elderly female and hugged one of her legs and continued to sob. Grandma and Grandpa were completely taken aback by this and tried to comfort the distraught threehorn. Grandma wrapped her free foreleg around Topsy's neck while Grandpa rubbed his back with his head. They stayed like that until Topsy's sobs subsided. Moments later, the three of them broke away from the embrace. Topsy wiped away the tears that were streaming down his face.
"Sorry about that; I'm such a crybaby these days," Topsy claimed.
"No you're not; it's normal to cry after losing a loved one; I would cry if Kenneth died and he would probably cry if I died," Grandma stated.
Grandpa nodded in agreement.
"I imagine Tria would cry if she lived and you died," Grandpa added.
Topsy nodded.
"Do you feel better after having this talk?" Grandma wondered.
Topsy shrugged.
"I'm not sure; I was blubbering like a baby almost the entire time," Topsy responded.
Grandma shook her head.
"I wouldn't call it blubbering like a baby; that's too harsh; I'd like to think of it as grieving for the loss of a loved one," Grandma told him.
Topsy nodded.
"Yeah; I like the sound of that better than blubbering like a baby," Topsy agreed.
"We do too; even fully grown dinosaurs cry," Grandpa replied.
Topsy smiled and went back to his own nest. He would feel lonely for a while without Tria sleeping beside him; but, he still has his friends and the rest of his family.
By the way; this is a one-shot. Topsy experiences yet another tragedy; but, he's all grown up in this. I've given Littlefoot's grandparents names. This is a stand alone story and has no association with my other stories.
