Dizzy

What was I doing again? Because I'm not entirely sure.

What I know: I'm on my bed. I'm stressed. I'm incredibly happy.

Why?

I remeber waking up this morning. It's Saturday right? Yeah, that's it.

I was going to study for a test at school, but I was interrupted by... um... oh! A phone call! From who? Mimi; it was definitely Mimi.

She told me she wanted to go to the mall. Shopping for summer clothes. The school year is almost over. If I'm correct, then the last day should be in two weeks, give or take one more.

I think I said no. But Mimi is an expert in getting what she wants. Yes, I refused, but she insisted, and I was left with no choice.

I picked her up in my car, and we drove to the mall.

Sora wasn't there. Neither was Kari or Yolei.

Why weren't they there? And why was I?

Oh yeah, Sora had tennis practice Yolei was sick, and Kari was on vacation. I had only been studying for one of the most important tests of my life. Of course, that wasn't enough to stop Mimi.

We went to a lot of stores. At least two... no, that doesn't sound right. That's right, I have to add a zero at the end. It was more like twenty. I spent most of the time staring at her. The way her strawberry colored hair swayed when she turned her head to look at the price tags, the look in her eyes as she analyzed if a certain accesory was really worth it. It was mesmerizing... in a way.

I remember she offered to buy me a few things, but I only asked for a pretzel at the food court. I did take this opportunity however, to get myself a new calculator and sweatshirt.

Mimi really wanted to pay for them, but I didn't let her. It's not like I have loads of money like her, so why did I do it?

Because it was not the gentleman way. Gentlemen should never allow for a lady to buy him stuff when it's not a holiday. That's what Jim told me, anyways... or was it my dad?

That girl dragged me eveywhere. At one point she almost lead me into the ladies bathroom. I remember my face was hot red. Why? Well... let's leave it at that.

It was when we went to the food court to go get my pretzel that she explained why she hadn't made any of the other guys tag along.

It was like 'I think you need more time to enjoy yourself, and sometimes I worry you study too much' or something of that sort.

My stomach felt nice and fuzzy after that.

I ate my pretzel, we visited a few more shops, then I drove her back home. The slight emotion of dissapointment filled me up, but it didn't last long.

Before she left inside the house, she bent over and kissed me on the cheek. She waved goodbye and said something after that, but I didn't listen.

My car stayed parked in her driveway for a good five minutes before I came to my senses.

Now, I'm in my room.

I don't think I can study today.

I feel far too dizzy for that.
