He was back again. Standing on the sands of Glass Shards Beach, a place he used to go as a child. Stanford looked down at himself and saw he was a child again, so that meant…

Converse clad sneakers carried him towards the old swing set up near ocean, the sky painted orange and red as the sun slowly disappears for now. He takes a seat on the right swing, hands grasping the ropes on either side as he gets ready to-

"Hey, there you are!"

His eyes widen at the familiar voice. He doesn't move as the persons footsteps get closer, but does move to peer over his arms as the swing next to him creaks at the sudden weight being settled upon it. Stanley, his twin brother, is occupying the swing. Still the same with his favorite coat, nerdy glasses and notebook that was stuffed into his pocket. Brown as meet his and a lump forms in his throat when his brother smiles.

"I knew you'd be here," Stanley replied as he grabbed on the swing's ropes and dug his sneakers into the sand. "Dad thought you'd be in the boxing ring, funny right?"

Stanford couldn't say anything so instead he nodded slowly.

"Have you ever wondered…what it would be like to enter another world?" Stanley chuckled and shook his head. "I know it sounds crazy but if creatures like the Lockness Monster or Yeti's might exist then why not other worlds? Though I know you'd probably be too afraid to find out…"

Stanford puffed out his cheeks in annoyance. His brother liked to tease him about being a 'scardy-cat' but on certain occasions, like when he was really scared, Stanley would make sure he felt safe again. Stanford would do the same for his brother as well.

"Hey, 'ford…?"

Stanford blinked out of his daydreaming (which was weird since this is a dream!) and focused on his brother again, who had brought up his hand and made a fist.

"No matter what happens…we'll always be brothers right? Mystery Twins?"

Stanford felt the burn of tears in the corner of his eyes, blinking back tears as he gave Stanley a watery smile and brought his hand up to form a fist as well. They bumped fists.

"Mystery Twins."
