"Move it, you freak!", Trey accusingly said as he purposely bumped onto my shoulder. It wasn't a strong push despite my tiny frame, but it got me riled up. You'll see, you will all see. I hovered my arms over my chest and let my head hang low, staring at the floor before while I could feel them all staring at me. Can't they understand that I was sick? Kids could be so mean. Fuck them. Fuck all of them.
"What is she doing here?" Whispers filled the hall; they can all go to hell.
Don't do it Mona…
"Go home psycho!" I heard another one yell. I can't keep track of the voices anymore. Who it was, I didn't care. They were all going to pay. We'll see who get's the last laugh.
I didn't keep walking, instead, I stopped from where I was and turned around to face the person who was the first one to pay. It was Michael. I've known Michael since we were in kindergarten. I used to share my green crayons to him since it was his favorite. What changed? How could people be so cruel?
"What are you staring at psycho?!" Michael began to taunt me.
Fuck you. Fuck all of you. My hands were in my sweatshirt's pockets now, grasping on the metal frame that was shaking because of my body.
"You shouldn't be here. Go back to your psycho ward you little freak!", I kept staring at him, but everybody started laughing. Shut up! Shut up! I wanted to say those words out loud, but I couldn't. They were just screaming in my head.
Don't do it Mona…
I must have blacked out for a moment, since all I remember was the gun pointing at Michael. Then I pulled the trigger.
It sounded like fireworks inside a contained room- POP POP POP. Then I pulled the trigger some more.
*POP POP POP POP.
Who's the loser now? I felt a smile unwind on my face.
Aria's POV
I walked towards Hanna as she stuffed her books into her crammed locker space. It was our usual meeting place before going to English class.
"You're here early." I asked innocently as I held my falling bag in place over my shoulder.
"Yeah, well, I couldn't wait to get out of the house since my Dad is just interrogating me with all the Caleb stuff."
"Admit it, you like the attention", Spencer sarcastically said as she walked up right behind us. Emily was right behind her, smiling at the comment.
Hanna overpowered, attempted to change the topic, although she had a hint of a smile on her cheek, "What took you guys so long?"
"Sorry, there was a crowd gathered at the- POP POP POP! What the-?!"
People started running towards behind us and I could see some bodies a few feet farther on the floor.
"GUNNNN!" I heard someone shout, then I felt someone pulling me. It was Spencer and I just unthinkingly followed. But after looking behind me, I couldn't see Hanna or Emily.
"Wait! Spencer! Hold on, where Emily and Hanna?"
"I don't know… I- They were just behind us."
"I don't think they ever were." I clenched my grip onto Spencer's hands as we manuevered ourselves from the horde of people running the other way. I felt pushes and bumps, cries and screams.
"What is going on?"
"I don't know- but it sounds like someone shot a gun." Spencer replied in a higher pitched voice.
The crowd was thinning now and we could see more bodies on the floor. I gasped when I saw Hanna crying and hovered over somebody...it can't be. It can't be!
