Chapter 1
I remember, that day so long ago. When that fool of a man and his brother tried to do something crazy. They succeeded. That man became my father.
I hate the gift he gave me though. One he did not give to any of my brothers and sisters. The ability to sense the emotions of others. The negative emotions particularly stick out. I know not why he gave me such a power. I wish he didn't.
It is so painful, being able to always sense their emotions. It sometimes becomes too much to bear. So I kill them. I destroy the places where human suffering becomes so great it is unbearable.
I don't know why the humans hate me for such. I rid them of places where death and hatred fester. They are such idiots.
I wish for food that some taste. Not that I need it. There is a village in the distance. My large form is not suitable for such an excursion.
The being, a fox like creature with nine tails began to shrink. While originally resembling a mountain in size, it became no bigger than an ordinary fox. It still kept its nine tails. It then further shifter into the form of a human males, that work a white cloak with going down the chest area, three on each side.
The fox turned man started to walk in a seemingly planned direction. On the back of his cloak, nine tomoe if the formation of a box could be seen. The man had spiky red hair, a clean face, which was light in complexion. His eyes were red, the pupils being a slit.
After several moments of walking, he increased his pace, and began to fly through the forest, feet barely having to touch the ground, or the tree branches. After some time, he slowed his pace. Minutes later, he came upon a clearing. In that clearing, sat a small village.
Chatter occurred throughout the village. The man continued his walk, and people gave him slight bows as he moved through. Some children at play were running through the street and bumped into him. The children immediately went silent upon seeing him, and some worry etched their faces. The village fell silent.
So young, enjoying their short lives. I have no such luxury. I will live longer than any of these people. Well, I will cheer them up a little. I hate these negative feelings.
The man held up his hand, and the children flinched at the action. The man smiled, before a small twister formed in his hands. It grew in size, but had little intensity. The man released it on the children, in fluttering their hair and clothes. The children giggled, and chased the twister as it gently moved about the village.
I wish I could be care free like them. The village is happier than it was when I arrived. That is good.
The man continued his walk, and stopped before a building that read, "The Tiger's Inn."
This place will have food as good as any. I smell pork. A most delicious meat.
The man entered the building, and the inn keeper within gave him a small bow, before asking, "What can I do for you, good sage?"
"I would enjoy a meal, pork and rice from the smell. However, I currently have no money. Is there some other way I can pay you," the sage asked.
The woman smiled before saying, "Just a blessin upon this poor village would be enough," before her face turned somewhat grim, "Our village has been gettin less and less every year from our crops. We really need a blessin."
The sage's eyebrows raised at the statement, before smiling and saying, "It will be done. I will ensure that your future generations of crops flourish."
"Thank ya, good sage. Is there a name that we can give ya," she asked?
The sage smiled and answered, "My name is Kurama."
"Thank ya, Sage Kurama, I'll have yer food ready in no time," she then said"
"Many thanks, good woman," Kurama said.
Soon, the woman brought Kurama his food, which he started to enjoy. The lady then spoke, "I'm surprised to see a sage eatin meat. I thought you guys didn't do such a thing."
Well, I am not an ordinary sage. Not that you need all the details.
Kurama smiled at the accusation, before replying, "There are many philosophies among different sages. I myself am a practitioner of Ninshu. It sadly is a mostly dead sect, though I do my best to carry its teachings. Nowhere within its teachings though, forbids the eating of meat."
The lady had a small look of confusion, and then asked, "What is Ninshu, is it like that ninjutsu that those killers bring about?"
Kurama let out a weary sigh before answering, "Unfortunately, ninjutsu did indeed come from Ninshu. Ninshu's teaching were to promote the unification of people through them connecting through their inner energy, chakra. However, humans turned this energy into a weapon, and that was when ninjutsu was created."
"You say that as if you're not human," the woman accused. Kurama chuckled at the accusation.
You are closer to the truth than you would ever imagine woman. I am not human, I am as your people call, a demon, the nine tailed fox. I am not a demon. I destroy the places of darkness, to eliminate them so better people live, and so I can stop the turmoil that plagues me as a result of them.
Kurama finished his food, before saying, "Thank you, which way is it to the fields?"
"They be to the south," she answered. Kurama nodded, before heading on his way.
I will never be as good as the old man, but I can try my best to shows acts of kindness to these places, in hope that they will do the same to others. I don't have the same kind of faith in humans that the old man had. I don't believe world peace is possible. However, hope to make it a better place.
After a long while of walking, Kurama found the fields the woman had referred to.
There is such little life here. It is saddening to see such. I can revitalize it though. All it needs is some yang chakra.
Kurama spread out his arms, and a white energy with golden highlights could be seen flowing from him. The energy poured out into the fields and surrounding area. The area suddenly became slightly greener, and everything looked slightly healthier.
Yes, this is much better. The land is so much more health now. It makes me happy.
Kurama began walking away from the village.
I hope they remember this kindness, and show it to others as well.
How was it? This is the start of my second story (third if you count the one I removed). Please review to tell me how I do!
