A Tracy Island Thanksgiving
Disclaimer: I don't own the Thunderbirds, the only bird I've got here right now is my Thanksgiving turkey! Thank you, Gerry Anderson, for your wonderful Thunderbird stories, r.i.p. No money is earned from this, it is written for fun and the enjoyment of all TB fans.

The fourth Thursday of each November,
There's always quite a day to remember!
From what I've often heard,
It deals with a huge turkey bird!
And pies and fruits and cakes,
Two hours to eat, at least, it takes.
Stuffing, potatoes and veggies galore,
Everyone eats 'til they just want to snore!
The turkey is roasted with a great deal of care,
Everyone bows their heads in prayer,
Then they all go hog wild,
Every single Tracy child!
Filling their plates as if this meal were their last,
Never knowing if they'll be called out very fast.
No football game for them today,
A nuclear missile's gone astray,
So instantly away and off they go flying,
Missing tv's football games and sighing.
The world needs them so,
And blasting off they do go.
They shoot down the errant rocket,
Like a billiard ball in a side pocket.
To Base they returned,
Hoping dinner's not burned!
Scott is there first,
His appetite is the worst!
Fighting for his pumpkin pie,
He almost hits Virgil in his eye.
"Sorry bro!" Scott quickly said,
While Virg just reached for a loaf of bread.
John and Gordon are at each other's throats,
Gotta get the last drops from the gravy boats.
Grandma tries to shush and quiet them all now,
They've eaten enough to feed several large cows.
Brains and Tin-Tin sit there amazed,
Alan's appetite still isn't fazed,
Away go the turkey and then some hams too,
The Tracys eat more than lions in a zoo!
When finally the table has been cleared,
And everyone's happy, evening has neared,
They give thanks for each other,
The father and each brother.
For the best place to be,
Is in a very loving family!
They might quarrel and fight,
But now everything's alright.
They go out to the pool,
The evening's breezes are cool.
Relaxing at long last,
A busy day all have passed.
They love their Tracy Island life,
Yes, there are some moments of strife.
But the help that they give,
Helps so many folks to live.
"Happy Thanksgiving to all!" they say,
Just a typical end to another Tracy day.
