AN: this story is based on the friendship of Faberry. Its a quick oneshot from Rachel's mailbox's point of view. Part of my POV challenge. Not my best, and kind of random, espically with the tiny bit of Puckleberry and Fabrevans thrown in. The Fabrevans is meant for Chibi Jello (and yeah, I will do a Fabrevans centered story eventually, this one is just to tide Chibi Jello over!)

Disclaimer: sadly, I do not own Glee.

It was a common fact that once Rachel had broken up with Finn, Quinn and her had something to relate to each other with. Their pure hatred towards the boy. Even though, before this last month, I had only seen and Quinn and Rachel interact twice before, I knew something else had changed. It hadn't been friendly before, more of a proper feeling. But now, it was different. They spent more time together.

Amazing how a friendship can give me a whiplash.

This morning, as they stood outside, staring at me intently. As if I was the main focus of the day, of the year even.

Today was also the day Rachel would get her reply letter from Julliard.

"Come on, Rach, open it."

Quinn motioned towards me, excitement seeping out of her voice.

Rachel just blinked, not even taking notice of her friend.

I knew what was in me, the large letter was poking at my sides. It was on expensive paper, and was obviously important. The black ink on the package looked fresh, and had a certain curve to it. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Rachel wrote it herself.

"Together?"

It was a simple question, yet Rachel finally responded.

Quinn grabbed Rachel's hand and moved towards me.

Once the letter was in her hands, Rachel's attitude turned from scared out of her mind to childlike.

I watched her rip it open, as if it were a birthday gift.

"Accepted." It was just above a whisper, yet it seemed like Rachel was singing as loud as possible. "Accepted."

Quinn burst into a happy smile, and squeezed her.

"Accepted! ACCEPTED. ACCEPTED!"

The girls began to dance in a small circle, as Rachel's fathers came out onto the porch to watch. The girls couldn't stop, wouldn't stop. Not today, because today was a very special day.

A few hours later, Puckerman's truck pulled up. Inside were Puck and Sam, who both looked dazed at the immediate need for them to be at the Berry residence. Rachel and Quinn had seen them from her window, and rushed down to meet them.

Rachel had a depressed look, and tears in her eyes. Quinn kept running her hand over Rachel's back, comforting her.

"What happened?" Puck stepped towards Rachel, taking her into his arms, which wrapped around her easily. "Are you okay?"

"Well," Rachel started to say, loosening herself from his grip. "Quinn and I had come out after breakfast. We stood out here for a whole eight minutes, then we finally did it together."

She re-enacted that morning, pulling me open and showing the emptiness within.

"And when I opened it, I was-"

"TOTALLY AND ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ACCEPTED TO JULLI-freaking-ARD!" Quinn burst out, not being able to pull off the sad look they were portraying. "My little girl is going to New York City!"

Puck grabbed at Rachel again, swinging her around. Sam took Quinn's hand, and their blond perfection collided.

Sam looked curious, as if something else was missing.

"There's something else, isn't there?" Quinn gave a shy smile, and pulled herself to Sam.

From what I could tell, both pairs looked comfortable beyond belief.

"I'm going to NYU."

Rachel dropped herself and slammed her hand on me to catch her balance.

"What?"

The girls began their happy dance once again, as they had done earlier that day.

New York City has no freaking idea what it signed up for when it accepted Faberry.
