My daughter is brilliant, just like her mum. They both had the same free spirit and ability to see beyond what the normal wizard cares not to take the time to see. She feels most at ease with her feet in the mud, wandering the plains of some far off land, and studying exotic creatures that no one else cares about.
Now, only now, do I find out that she's married and is a mother in her own right. What am I going to do with the girl? Well, a woman now. She is a mum. Of twins. Twin boys no less. She will be the perfect mum for two young, energetic boys.
Today she showed up on my door, boys in hand, asking for a place to stay while her husband recovers from a previously thought extinct version of Dragon Pox.
I don't know what to do with two small boys. I barely knew what to do with her when she was a babe and her mother did a majority of the work.
Two boys.
My head doesn't seem to grasp the idea. My daughter, my baby girl, has babies of her own. It may be hard to see, but every time I look into their large eyes, I see Luna's and her mum's looking back at me. I wish Pandora was here. She would have been a great grandmum.
Luna, what did you get yourself into this time?
