Life is very beautiful (Harry Potter one-shot)

I do not own Harry Potter in any way. Inspired by Here I am from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Title taken from the Execution of Catherine Howard on The Tudors.

"Who are we waiting for?" Harry groaned.

"Dunno. Dumbledore said some girl from Beauxbatons (sp?) was getting sorted", Neville said.

The big wooden doors opened and a girl came running down the center of the Great Hall.

"Sorry I'm late", she said.

"Ah, Miss Malfoy", Dumbledore said.

All heads turned to Draco.

"I'm sure your parents are delighted to have you back", Dumbledore said.

"Yes and it's soooo good to be back", she said smiling, not smirking. She took a seat and the sorting hat was placed on her head.

"Ah, I see boundless energy. The only place for you is…Gryffindor!" the hat said.

The girl smiled and ran to join the Gryffindors. She sat down next to Ginny, Seamus, and Dean. "Oh wow! I never thought I'd get into Gryffindor! This is soooooo exciting. I can't wait for Charms tomorrow. I'm rubbish at potions. I'm not anything like my brother Draco. Merlin, he annoys to no end. I mean I love him in all, but come on. Couldn't he be fun once and awhile?" she ranted.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Ron asked.

"Oh…I'm Naomi Malfoy. Yes, you heard correctly. Malfoy", she said smiling at him.

Harry looked down at Naomi and noticed she had the same hair as her brother, but had big hazel eyes and a beautiful smile. "I couldn't help but notice your eyes", Harry said.

Naomi blushed. "Mother says they're from my Aunt Andromeda", she said, "I'm soooooo thankful I didn't get the Malfoy eyes".

Harry couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"I just love Naomi", Ginny told Hermione later.

"I know", Hermione said.

Sure enough, Naomi was bad at potions. Naomi groaned, "I wish I could be playing quidditch right now".

"Quidditch?" Harry asked, "I would've pegged you for a cheerleader type of girl".

Naomi turned to Harry, her hazel eyes smoldering (in a good way).

The bell rang.

"Shows how much you know Mr. Potter", she said, her nose nearly touching his. She walked off and Harry shivered (in a good way).

"Feeling it Potter?" Draco sneered.

"What?" Harry asked.

"Let's just say, as a Malfoy, she gets whatever she wants", Draco teased.

"Like what?" Harry asked.

"Stupid Potter. She wants you", Draco said walking off.

Naomi burst into the commonroom.

"That girl has too much energy", the twins groaned.

Naomi was now dancing around the commonroom.

"She just loves life is all", Hermione said smiling.

"Who wants to go outside?" Naomi asked.

Harry stood up.

Naomi squealed and grabbed his hand. She dragged him to the quidditch pitch. She layed down and basked in the sun.

Harry joined her.

They layed there for hours.

Naomi spotted a flock of birds and said, "Life is very beautiful".

Harry couldn't agree more.
