Note: Batman is owned by DC Comics and was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane.

A group of actors and actresses had been kidnapped by the villainous Cluemaster. Cluemaster had them in a secret location. Among the group was Anne Gorshin, a blonde haired woman who was an obsessive Batman. Most of the kidnapped people were scared. However, Anne was a little excited, because she was hoping to see Batman.

A phone rang, so Cluemaster picked it up and asked, "What do you want?"

Commissioner Gordon was the one calling. He asked, "How can we get you to release the people?"

Cluemaster smiled and answered, "I'm glad you asked that, Jimmy. If you want the people back, I'll need thousands of dollars and either a television or motion picture deal. I'm thinking about hosting my own game show, but I'd also get to be a contestant. I'd easily win every episode."

Commissioner Gordon sternly replied, "You're not getting that nonsense."

Cluemaster responded, "I'll keep these people, until you cave. My location is too hard to find." He got off the phone and laughed.

Anne Gorshin had a smug smile on her face, while saying, "Batman's going to figure out your clues and beat you up. He's fought twenty criminals, all of which are more dangerous than you."

Cluemaster replied, "You seem to have a lot of confidence in Batman and a lot of distrust for little old me."

Anne's friends tried to get her to stop, but she wouldn't listen. Anne said, "Cluemaster, you're a weakling, a fraud, and something that Batman can easily stop."

Cluemaster punched Anne to the ground and said, "Batman won't come." Batman burst into the building. Cluemaster sighed and said, "Well, I guessed wrong. That's going to hurt my chances of winning every game show. How did you find my secretive hideout?"

Batman replied, "You and your victims are at an old riddle story, a very similar gimmick to clues. It only took me five minutes to figure that out."

Cluemaster angrily responded, "Stop making me look bad."

Batman said, "I will, if you get a more dignified profession."

Cluemaster pointed at Batman and said, "You're going down." He punched Batman into a wall.

Anne Gorshin was horrified to see her precious Batman get hurt. She angrily ran up to Cluemaster and punched him in the face. She said, "Gotham is Batman's city, you jerk." Cluemaster kicked Anne to the ground.

Batman got up and punched and kicked Cluemaster around the store. After a few minutes of fighting, Cluemaster passed out.

Batman ran up to the kidnapped people and checked up on them. He saw Anne on the ground, so he went to her and asked, "Are you okay?"

Anne looked up and saw Batman. She said, "This would be a dream could true, if that stupid clue boy hadn't punched me."

Batman replied, "Don't worry. The Wayne clinic offers free checkups to citizens who get kidnapped by Arkham Asylum patients."

Anne responded, "That sounds nice, but what would be nicest of all is if you kiss me."

Batman replied, "Sorry, but justice is the only thing my heart focuses on." Batman disappeared into the shadows.

The next day Anne was at the Wayne clinic, checking to make sure she didn't break anything, after getting punched and kicked by Cluemaster. Anne looked at the doctor and asked, "How am I?"

Dr. Dozier answered, "You sure got lucky, Ms. Gorshin. It seems like nothing's broken, but you must be careful."

Anne replied, "Yes sir."

Anne stepped out of the doctor's office and into the hallway, while saying, "I get to see Batman and all I got from it was a free checkup. I barely got a chance to greet Batman." She bumped into Bruce Wayne.

Bruce Wayne replied, "Hi Ms. Gorshin. How are you doing?"

Anne sighed and said, "I didn't break anything."

Bruce jokingly asked, "Were you hoping you broke some bones?"

Anne chuckled and said, "No, I'm disappointed that I didn't get to visit Batman. He's the most amazing man my eyes have ever laid eyes on. When he feels around, I feel like the wind rises."

Bruce replied, "Batman does like to rise, but in all seriousness, I suggest forgetting about Batman. He's a very distant, cold type of person."

Anne responded, "There's more to him and I want to find out what he's really like."

Bruce said, "I suggest leaving the detective work to the professionals."

Detective Bullock walked by and said, "When you talk about professional detectives, you're probably talking about me."

Bruce and Anne both replied, "No." Detective Bullock shook his fist at them and walked away.

Anne looked at Bruce and responded, "I feel like I have to see Batman again. Is there any way I could contact him?"

Bruce replied, "Batman and I aren't that close, so I don't know. Anarky is still on the loose, so Batman's going to be busy. Speaking of busy, I have an appointment to attend to. Good afternoon, Ms. Gorshin." Bruce ran out of the clinic.

Anne returned to her house and angrily threw her purse at the wall. She said, "I can't seem to get Batman's attention, because he only pays attention to gimmick themed weirdos." She had a sneaky smile on her face, while saying, "If I came up with a gimmick and a costume, I might be able to get Batman's attention." She dug around her costume and found a green costume, riddled with question marks. She wore it for a film that flopped. Due to nobody caring about the film or its costumes, she was allowed to keep it, along with a green hat and silver cane.

A short time later, Anarky was in his hideout, an old chemical plant. Anne snuck in, wearing the green costume. He paced around the hideout, while saying, "Soon, all of the chemicals will be dumped onto Gotham's citizens. That'll spread true anarchy." He did an evil laugh and said, "You're probably wondering why I'm talking to myself. That's because I know I'm not alone. Your attempt to sneak in was a nice try, but I heard your footsteps."

A riddle was dropped onto Anarky's feet. He picked it up and read it aloud, "Riddle me this: Who wants to spread chaos, but is about to be out-riddled?"

Anne jumped to the ground. She pointed the cane at him and replied, "You're the one who's going to be out-riddled, because I'm the Riddler, the princess of puzzlers."

Anarky had an amused look on his face, while asking, "The Riddler? So, you copied Cluemaster's gimmick? How cheap and petty, perfect for a criminal."

Anne (the Riddler) said, "I'm not a criminal. I'm going to defeat you and win Batman's respect."

Anarky replied, "Ah, a Batman fangirl. I must admit I find Batman most intriguing. In fact, I'm going to make him even more interesting, by dumping a batch of dangerous criminals. That'll make him as dangerous as me and my clown father."

The Riddler used her cane to hit Anarky. Anarky asked, "Do you think a cane can stop me?"

The Riddler answered, "What I do know is that justice defeats evil."

Anarky replied, "In an organized world that might be true, but I'm all about anarchy." He kicked the Riddler into some boxes.

Batman burst into the building. He walked up to Anarky and said, "Greetings, youngster of chaos."

Anarky had an offended look on his face, while saying, "It's about time you faced me. You've been wasting time with my old man."

Batman replied, "The Joker is a bigger threat than you could ever be. Believe it or not, it's a compliment. It means you have a better chance of redeeming yourself."

Anarky responded, "I didn't plan on you coming."

Batman said, "I solved your riddle: What is abandoned, but hasn't abandoned its danger factor? It took me a while to figure it out, but I remembered this old building having dangerous chemicals. These chemicals were supposed to benefit illnesses, but they drove people crazy."

Anarky replied, "That's nice and all, but I didn't give you a riddle." Batman had a surprised look on his face.

The Riddler popped out and said, "I'm the one who gave out the riddle."

Batman turned around and asked, "Who are you?"

The Riddler had a goofy smile on her face, while saying, "I'm the Riddler."

Batman asked, "What are you? Are you a new criminal or something?"

The Riddler tapped Batman's head with her cane and answered, "You are often guilty of quick judgments. I'm not a criminal. I want to help you stop this maniac."

Batman replied, "I appreciate the offer, but I'm a solo fighter."

The Riddler responded, "You wouldn't of found him without my help."

Batman said, "I appreciate that, but fighting criminals is dangerous. You could get hurt."

The Riddler replied, "So could you."

Batman said, "I know you're Anne."

The Riddler asked, "How could you figure that out?"

Batman answered, "I'm a detective."

The Riddler had a sly smile on her face, while saying, "No, there's a better reason than that. If you could figure out who I am, you must of remembered me well. I must of made an impact on you."

Batman replied, "You did, because I care about each and every citizen."

The Riddler stubbornly responded, "No, there's more going on. You and I are each other's destiny. I'm an actresses, you're a secretive superhero. We both pretend to be some kind of imaginary persona, but deep down, we're two lovers in the game of riddles."

Batman shook his head and said, "No, I respect citizens, such as yourself. However, I have no romantic feelings for you."

The Riddler angrily replied, "No, there has to be something better. You have to have feelings for me, real feelings. I've collected every comic, every toy, and every other piece of merchandise. I think about you and gush at pictures of you. Riddle me this: Who's going to be together forever? Answer: You and me! Kiss me now, right now!"

Batman coldly responded, "You're crazy." The Riddler used her cane to fling Batman into some boxes.

Anarky said, "It's about time you did that. You and Batman's romance garbage is wasting my time. I'm about to bring anarchy to Gotham."

The Riddler ran up to the machine and started using the chemicals to break the chemical controller. She smirked at Anarky and said, "I brought anarchy to your own plan."

Anarky smiled and replied, "That's not the case. The chemicals won't make it to Gotham, because of your intrusion. However, the chemicals will go all over you and your precious Batman, meaning I'll still be the winner."

The Riddler responded, "Then I'll push you into the chemicals and get me and Batman out of this place."

Anarky said, "I don't think so." He pushed the Riddler into some boxes, took her cane, and started heading out.

The Riddler landed near Batman. She whispered, "I may not win your heart, but I will kiss your lips." She grabbed Batman and kissed him. The chemicals started coming close to her and Batman. The Riddler opened a window and threw Batman outside, before the chemicals could get to him. However, she didn't get out in time. The chemicals got onto her and started turning her even crazier.

Batman got up and chased after Anarky. Batman used a grappling hook to trap him, but Anarky used the Riddler's cane to break it in half. Batman grabbed Anarky and started punching him. Anarky said, "You have nice moves, but can you really beat true chaos?"

Batman confidently answered, "Yes I can." He punched Anarky into a tree. The tree broke apart and crash landed on Anarky. Batman smirked and said, "That's true justice."

Anne Gorshin, the Riddler, was taken to a mental institution. Bruce walked up to the room Anne was at. He faced one of the doctors and asked, "How is she doing?"

The Doctor said, "I'm afraid she's lost her memory. The staff and I have been trying to help, but she barely even remembers being the Riddler."

Bruce replied, "I see." After the Doctor walked away, Bruce whispered, "Riddle me this: Who wants to thank someone special, but will never get the chance? Answer: Me." Bruce walked away, feeling sorrow for what happened to Anne.

Anne overheard him and whispered, "You're welcome, Batman."
