The first time it happened Leo was sleeping soundly.
In fact, it was some of the only sleep he had gotten in a while, what with all the repairs to the ship he had to do.
And then he was woken up by what sounded like a dying cat.
He groggily got out of bed to track down the noise. Walking down the hallway, he stopped at the main bathroom door.
The shower was running.
Someone was singing in the shower.
Leo reached into his toolbelt and pulled out a recorder to document this glorious blackmail opportunity.
And that was when Leo documented a horrible cover of "Let It Go" by Percy Jackson.
Two nights later, Leo was woken up once more by the infernal singing.
He grabbed his recorder and ran to the bathroom door.
Jason. He should have known.
Quietly turning it on and trying to hide his giggling, Leo added another song to the Argo II album.
"Someone Like You", sung by Jason Grace.
By this point, Leo was getting practically no sleep, as he now turned to staking out in the closet next to the bathroom in order to record more shower music. He had documented six more songs; "Radioactive" and "Fireworks" with Percy Jackson, "Colors Of The Wind" and "Eye Of The Tiger" with Frank Zhang, "Gentle On My Mind" with Piper McLean, and "Roar", a wonderful duet sung by Jason Grace and Percy Jackson. (he had caught both of them singing it on two separate occasions. Merging the tracks together did not make them any better)
He was about to leave his hiding spot after recording the final song (a parody of "Guns And Ships" with Jason about bread) when Annabeth happened to walk by. Leo froze.
"Ummmm… what are you doing, Leo?" she asked, staring at him.
"Uh, I couldn't sleep?"
"Oh, I believe that, but why are you here? And with a recorder no less."
He tried to dance around the question, making up fake stories that no sane person would believe, but Annabeth's glare became too much. He decided to come clean about the whole thing.
"I guess you're going to make me delete the album now, huh?" Leo finished, hanging his head.
"Oh, Hades, no!" she exclaimed. HE looked up to see Annabeth grinning evily. "This stuff is pure gold. I have a plan."
The next morning, Annabeth sat down next to Percy for breakfast. Everyone was there at the table, laughing and talking, until Annabeth spoke up.
"Hey, Leo, do you have any music you could play?"
Everyone started to agree with her, saying that some music in the morning would be great.
Leo nodded, and told Festus to play "the Shower Playlist."
Leo's voice soon came over the speakers.
"Hello and welcome to Shower Songs with Leo Valdez and Annabeth Chase"
Annabeth's voice took over.
"We'll be listening to some beautiful music sung by the very demigods sitting next to you now. To start we have a wonderful duet by Percy Jackson and Jason Grace…"
It was safe to say that no one ever sang in the shower after that.
Except Hazel.
She had the voice of a goddess.
