A.N. Long time no see. I wasn't going to post this; it's way too short for my liking, but any time I went to write something, I just kept coming back to this so... I would like to apologize for any mistakes I've made. My excuses: 1. I'm writing this on my phone. 2. I'm eating goldfish, and if goldfish aren't distracting, I don't know what is.

I DON'T OWN ANYTHING!

When they first meet, she thinks he is her boyfriend, and he doesn't even know who she is. That's not an ideal way to start a relationship, but nothing is ideal in the life of a demigod, so they make do with what they have: a blooming friendship, growing feelings for each other, and plenty of time to work things out.

And that's all they need.

The two sit next to each other at the campfire nearly three months after their first quest. The other member of the trio is spending extra time at Bunker 9 with the rest of his cabin trying to fix the most recent defect on the problematic ship. Both are singing along to the cheesy camp songs. The boy's mind is elsewhere, however.

'Should I grab her hand, or would that be weird and too soon and freak her-?' He thinks to himself. He doesn't have all his memories back yet, but he is pretty sure this is the most thought he has put into anything. Which he finds slightly disheartening.

He decides to bight the bullet and grab her hand. She squeezes his hand back, but that was the only reaction she gave. The boy tries -and pretty much fails- to relax a little after that.

Behind them, there was a little giggle from an Aphrodite girl followed by an ear-piercing squeal from the girl's little sister.

All around them, the campers singing stops briefly, and the two demigods quickly release each other's hands.

They barely talk for a week.

The stress of building a magical ship and locating the Roman camp weighs on both of them immensely. So sometimes, to relieve some stress, they sneak out after curfew and just watch the stars together. Neither of them really says anything; it was one of the 'silence speaks louder than words' situations. It's always special and meaningful to them both.

Sadly, their kind-of-sort-of-dates have to end, when a Harpy almost eats them both.

The two just can't catch a break.

One day, nearly seven months after they had first met, the two find themselves trudging through the overgrown forest to Bunker 9 in almost 95-degree weather. Still, the two are having a good -great- time joking around with each other.

"Maybe we should date." It's sudden, rushed, and certainly awkward. He wishes he had said it differently, but he's really just glad he finally said something.

The girl stops walking, and , by the way she has her hands on her hips and is staring at him completely shocked, he thinks he might be in trouble. She takes a couple of unsure, crooked steps before saying, "Maybe we should."

"Okay then." And, suddenly, it's official.

It's as far from romantic as it could've possibly been, but their both beaming, and that shows just how perfect they think it is.

THE END!

Mmmm. Not too happy with it, but I liked it enough to post it.

Also, I'll be posting a lot more when school starts {the 27th of this month} 'cause I'll get my laptop back from the school.

Review please! Advice is much appreciated!

P.S. I want to make a Tumblr, but I am having trouble figuring it out, but I'll keep you guys posted! :D
