Dear Diary,
Today marks the day Allen-kun finally asked me out . It was right in front of Nee-san too . You should have seen his face when I hugged Allen-kun ! I can't wait till Allen-kun and I go on our first date!
"Lenalee, would you go out with me? Perhaps more than just today?" He asked with a sheepish grin.
She beamed , and ran into his arms , nuzzling her face gently against his.
"Which restaurant ?" She cooed and she took his hand.
She gazed emptily at her diary , her expression blank.
As she recreated his facial expressions , his soothing voice , his toothy smile and his scent, she felt blissful for that ephemeral moment .
Then ...pain . A sharp piercing pain in her fragile heart as she felt every modicum of joy shatter. . She gazed emptily at a small picture of him as she laughed mirthlessly in spite of herself.
"He's gone ," She said in disbelief. Allen-kun is really gone . She no longer had tears , all she had left was the pathetic shell of a former self . She took a long look at her austere decorations in her room ,at the pealing gray walls , the dim light…. and the portrait of him one last time.
The light bulb flickered feebly as if it were sighing its last breath. "You too huh? " She half-smiled , half-grimaced.
Lenalee lifted the bottle of pills on her desk and uncapped it , emptying its contents on her lap.
" I'll be waiting for you. "
She lifted a frail hand and whispered to herself , " I'm coming Allen-kun,"
Dear Diary , today marks the day I'll be with Allen-kun …perennially
