Anywaaaay…I thought about making something about Kenshin and Sano's friendship. I dunno. I was tired okay XD

Sanosuke Sagara laid wide awake on his futon. Tomorrow, Kenshin, he and Saito were going to take down Shishio…or would die trying.
Death.
The subject wasn't new for Sanosuke, he had been a mercenary, had killed people, had a few close call with death and...after all, he had witnessed the death of his beloved captain…
He shook his head. No. No. NO ! He wasn't going to mope again. The others needed him. Kenshin needed him.
Kenshin Himura.
The former Battosai.
Who could have predicted that a manslayer would be the one pulling Sanosuke out of his madness? If somebody had told him before that The Battosai, the manslayer, the strongest patriot, his enemy !... would become his best friend and the man he would admire the most, he would have laughed before beating the fuck out of the idiot who would have even suggested that stupid and idiotic idea.
Still….it was true. Kenshin Himura. He respected the man, and saw him as his friend. He knew that Kenshin was stronger than him, way stronger actually, and on some bizarre level….he didn't mind it. He liked it. He liked having someone to look up to.
And this person was Kenshin Himura. Without noticing, Sanosuke had put Kenshin at the place that occupied his captain Sagara. In a way, the two man were the same, both fighting to create a new era. One was dead, the other was still fighting.
And was going to try to save Japan without killing anyone.
This sounded ridiculous, even for Sanosuke, who had seen Kenshin fighting. How would Kenshin stop a freaking murderer without killing the man?
Kenshin was going to die…
At this instant, Sanosuke realized one thing. He couldn't let Kenshin die. He couldn't lose the man he looked up to again. He didn't want to lose….a friend.
A friend who was with him in the hardest moment.
A friend who helped him to find a new family.
A friend who watched his back in a fight, while he watched his.
His best friend.
Sanosuke made his decision. He would bring Kenshin back alive. Yahiko and Kaoru needed Kenshin. Japan needed men like Kenshin.
So even if it was going to cost him his life…he would protect his friend.
At all cost.
His mind made, Sanosuke turned and tried to sleep a little.
After all, tomorrow was going to be a long and hard day…
