If you guys haven't seen the latest episode of Fringe (4X04) The Bullet that Saved the World, then I advise you guys to watch it before reading this story because it would be a major spoiler. Please leave a comment when you finished reading and tell me what you thought.
Spoiler Alert!
Olivia's POV:
Standing outside of that warehouse, watching it blow into smithereens, I felt my world crumble. This time I knew I would never see her again, my little girl. This time she was really gone, taken from us way too soon. I knew what she did was noble and for a cause, but I just can't stop thinking that if we got her out of there then she would still be alive, and that we wouldn't need to watch her die. I don't even know what to say to Broyles, the one person who was really close to her when we were trapped in amber to protect the plan, this whole time it was always about getting rid of the observers that we didn't even think twice about our family, what getting rid of the observers really mean. I am even more fuelled to get rid of them for good but I don't want to risk loosing family.
Meeting up with Broyles again, I felt nervous. I knew he was going to blame himself, I wouldn't. Etta sacrificed herself to protect the plan and to protect us, the least we could do is respect her choice and continue with what we are really here for.
Broyles's POV:
Seeing Olivia standing there with a grim expression, I knew something was wrong. I knew her long enough to be able to read her faces. Hearing everything that Olivia was telling me, I felt guilty for coming. In the end of the day Olivia, Etta, Walter and Peter were followed with a tracker, though I felt responsible for Etta, she introduced me to the resistance and taught me to hide my thoughts from the observers. I can't even count of my fingers how many times Etta has saved my ass, during the very first case that we worked together there was a shooting in an alley, Etta was there and was able to save me from getting shot by one of the perpetrators, that's when I absolutely knew that she was Olivia's daughter, because she had her determination and will power. After that she saved me many more times with her knowledge of hiding thoughts.
I handed over the tube that we got back to Olivia to take back to Walter so he can try to make sense of it, and then I drove back to HQ.
In the car, on the way back I took out the old picture that I had of Olivia and Peter. Having this with me reminds me of everything, from the moment where I still called Olivia liaison to the moment where she was distraught from loosing a 3 years old Etta. From the moment of looking at the photo I knew I had to make everything right, I had to help them take down the observers and this time round Etta would be the driving force to bring us once again together.
Okay, after I watched the episode I was sorta inspired to write a story like this where it kind of explored Olivia's feelings of loosing Etta once again also exploring Broyles's feelings towards loosing Etta. I hope you guys enjoyed this and please leave a comment. This would only be a one-shot.
