JORDAN'S MANOR - Sunrise

"She missed the sunrise," Angel said.

All the curtains had been pulled shut as the group sat in the darkness of Jordan's manor. After the battle, Cordelia decided it was her responsibility to watch over Toby until the next Power arrived on Earth.

Wesley could hardly believe it all. The knowledge that there were nine Powers watching over them at all times while one walked the Earth blew his mind. Well that and the sight of Cordelia sword fighting, it was all too much for him to handle in one day…in one lifetime.

After the second Master, Triton, had been dropped into the furnace, the pressure had dropped solidifying the tons of gallons of melted steel in seconds, sealing the hellmouth for now.

The spirit of the Power had left Jordan's body in a flash of light as it disappeared. No one had gotten a chance to say thank you or goodbye.

"What did Jordan do to you right before you went all Highlander on the Master's ass?" Xander asked.

"I'm not sure. She just said there would be no more pain and then it was as if I was dying. I mean there where these flashes of pictures in my head and then I felt at peace finally with the gift Doyle gave me," Cordelia said.

She walked over to the window and opened it just a sliver…to see the sunrise. It was as though a thousand angels were singing to her as the light flooded over the waves of the ocean creating a million little stars.
