Prologue
Down within the dark sewers of New York City, inside an abandoned subway station, was a group of four teenagers. However, these were no ordinary teenagers. In fact, they were not even human. All four of them were teenage, humanoid, turtles. Each wearing colored masks and carrying ninja weapons.
Mikey was watching an episode of Space Heroes: The Next Generation, while Raph was hitting a punching bag. "We've seen Captain Ryan vacation episode five times already!" Mikey whined. "You said it, little brother," Raph called out as he continued punching his bag. "This show is way better than the original." It had been nearly two weeks since they had seen any action. In that time, there had been no alien invasions, rampaging mutants, or crazy ninjas trying to kill them. So far their lives had been pretty peaceful….and boring as well.
Meanwhile, Leo was in the dojo meditating. His breaths were calm, silent, and deep. Tuning out any and all distractions, Leo concentrated hard. However, his meditation did take the toll on his body, as he opened his eyes, groaned, and fell on his shell. "I don't get it Master Splinter," He said aloud. "I've been meditating for weeks and I still don't feel any enlightenment or higher plane or anything." He looked up to the picture of himself and his brothers when they children, when Master Splinter was still alive. "I didn't think peace could be so…dull." He then got up and walked out of the dojo.
"Hey Raph!" Mikey called. "Want to play some pinball?" Raph pulled his magazine off his face. "At this point, I'll do anything." he groaned. "Me too," Leo agreed as he sat down on the couch. "The Foot are gone, Shredder is dead, I never thought I'd miss the Kraang." Raph then started up the pin ball machine. "Face it guys, there's no evil left in the city." He said. Just then, Donnie opened up the lab doors, his face full of excitement. "Hey, guys!" He called out. "I got something to show ya!"
"Alright guys." Donnie said. "Remember the Kraang portal that we got from April during the whole worm thing with Tiger Claw?" The other three turtles nodded. "Well, I've been experimenting on it, and I think I've found a way to use it to our advantage." Donnie continued. "Advantage?" Leo inquired. "Yeah. Imagine us being cornered by enemies with nowhere to go and out of smoke bombs." Donnie answered. "But with this, I can open up a portal to anywhere on earth. Even open a portal to any of the ten dimensions!" He explained giddily. "You mean you can that portal take us anywhere?" Mikey asked excitedly. "Even to Italy; the birth place of pizza? Or even better, Dimension x?"
"All that and more." Donnie answered. "Sounds good and all, but does it actually work?" Raph asked skeptically. "I'm about to field test it now." Donnie said as he about to activate it. "Ooh, let me try!" Mikey grabbed the device out Donnie's hands. "Mikey!" The other turtles cried as Mikey the portal device. There was a blinding flash of purple light for a split second before purple portal opened to parts unknown. "Any idea where it will lead us?" Leo asked as Donnie angrily snatched the portal device back from Mikey. "Only one way to find out!" Mikey declared with a smirk as rushed towards the portal. "Mikey!" The group called. "Booyakasha!" Mikey shouted as he jumped through the portal. Raph sighed, "Typical." Of course he expected nothing more from his little brother's silliness. "We have to go in after him." Leo declared. Raph and Donnie nodded in agreement before grabbing the portal device and jumping through the portal.
The turtles soon exited the portal, falling down on a field of grass that seemed to cushion their fall. The turtles got up and looked around. Before them was a small village in a large valley surrounded by many hills and mountains. The place looked serene and oddly inspiring, although it looked like it had come out of some ancient Chinese text or authentic Kung Fu movie. They couldn't help but gawk a little at the beauty of their surroundings. What startled the turtles the most were the inhabitants of the village. In the village were several anthropomorphic animals wearing clothes and doing things humans would do. "W-where the heck are we?" Leo asked in shock. "I think we've been transported to another dimension. One dominated by anthropomorphic animals instead of humans." Donnie theorized. "Sounds like our kinda place!" Exclaimed Mikey. "So how do we home?" Raph asked. "Shouldn't be a problem," Donnie said. "I still have the portal device to get us back home. Lets take around before we leave and hang out for a little bit." He insisted. "I agree," Leo said. "In fact, I think we could all use a vacation. So whats say we head down to the village and find a place to stay?" He added. The other turtles looked at each other before nodding in agreement. They then started walking down the meadow and towards the village. But was this really the start of an awesome vacation? Or a whole new life?
