It was a bright, sunny day. Though the sun shone high in the sky, the wind blew cool breezes of air as December just loomed around the corner. On an old, yet not decripit school desk, at the very corner of the room being inconspicuous (someone tyring to hide?), an unusual boy sits alone inside one of the classrooms. There's nothing unusual about a young boy clad in a white polo that had a black collar and a yellow necktie. Either was it weird that on his legs he wore black shorts. But what made him stood out was his blonde hair, tied in a short ponytail. Hair like that wasn't so common in Japan, yet it was fine. It wasn't like anyone found them yet...
Placidly nibbling on some chocolate, normal one this time, his attention was diverted to the book he was reading; distracting him from a sudden threat that loomed over him at that moment. He did not have a clue. Then, the threat attacked-
"Len~" The singsong voice was the only thing that warned him of an impending danger, but alas, it was too late. Len was too focused on something he was reading when the threat tackled him from behind. The force toppled them over, and they fell onto the ground in a heap.
"Nyaak!" Len gasped. The book he was reading flew across the room and smacked an unsuspecting Hachune, who was innocently waving her leek and not part of any of this, right in her face. Hachune fell over her desk. But she was alright, as she exclaimed with a small, "Acck!".
Tangled in a heap of limbs, Len cursed inwardly, berating himself of being careless, of knowing better...and among other things but he decided to just address the issue at hand.
"Itai...Don't jump on me like that, Rin!" Len scolded the girl on top of him. Not like she was listening at the moment, as Rin, like a cat' continued to rub her face on his back, and would have likely purred if she was. This girl was just as unusual as Len, her short blonde hair falling just on her shoulders. Although just recently, and only until recently, she had worn it in pigtails. Just like an idol.
"I DID call out, but you weren't listening! And don't shout at me like that." Rin retorted, sitting up and folding her arms.
Yeah, but it's not like you gave me time to react properly. Oh wait, right, my fault. Len inwardly groaned, but outwardly sighed. Then, in normal conversational volume, "Ok, what is it Rin?" She wouldn't have come back so soon if it weren't for something important, like their missions. Although, it was usually to pester him about dressing in weird suits to 'blend in' (and he had to explain many times, a bear trainer in Japan is NOT a common sight). "If it's about our assignments, I am not infiltrating Akihabara disguised as a-"
"It's not about that Len!" Rin interrupted, smile back on her face. That dazzling smile. "I just wanted to teach you a new move I just invented^_^". Len could almost feel the emoticon slip out of her voice.
Len sighed again, Rin and her wrestling phase. It was all she could talk about these days, ever since WWE aired on TV one time. She enjoyed it so much, I didn't have the heart to tell her the show was American. Now, she constantly makes her iwn wrestling moves, and tries it on Len.And I thought the only the thing that ran through her mind.. was P*****.
"Then show me during training, not in the classroom." Len patiently scolded Rin. It was just the three of them Len, Rin and Hachune that were inside their classroom since school was already over for the day. Miku left Hachune by mistake, and Len stayed behind to read his book. He was leaving (so he told Rin, but actually, he stayed to still read) when Rin, who was looking for Len, tackled him.
"Ok then. I'll go home first, kay!" Rin waved at Len and took off, slamming the door shut.
"Really, Rin" Len said exasperated, but was grinning as he said it. Rin was always like that, what can he do? She was always like that, even then.
Len was still remembering the sight of hair blowing in the wind, however, when the door slammed open again revealing Rin with one hand raised.
"Hai, nya! I forgot Hachu-chan~!" Rin reported. She grabbed the fallen Hachune (the unfortunate victim, by now lay on the floor, wriggling) by the collar and ran off, leaving the door open this time.
"Ah, Rin..." Len sighed, picked up his book and left the classroom. He was itching to go home and take a shower now. Too late to try and stay, as Rin was expecting him now. Ever since Valentine's Day, their routine everyday consisted of school, training, school, training, and some variety of that. As long as they were not assigned a mission, they would go on training together. Besides, he was done reading.
The History of the ****** Corps
In it was a picture of a group of child soldiers, posing for a picture in front of a bleak winter landscape. One them had familiar mops of blonde hair. And at the blonde girl's feet was a dog.
Len snapped the book closed.
I can't reveal anything yet, right now. Best you (yes, I'm aware of you) stay tuned.
Then, Len left the classroom.
