Marrinette and Adrien walk into school holding hands and laughing. They approach Alya and Nino who are gawking at them like a new zoo exhibit.
"Dude, seriously? Marrinette?" Nino asks.
"Hey!" Marrinette exclaims.
"Who are you and what have you done with my friend Marrinette?" Alya asks incredulously.
"So you two are like... A thing?" Nino asks. In response Adrien cups Marrinette's chin in his hand and kisses her on the mouth. They break apart, Adrien grinning, Marrinette blushing. Alya and Nino's mouths fall open in shock.
"Adrikins! There you are!" Chloe comes running up out of nowhere and shoves Marrinette out of the way. She wraps her arms around his neck, so that she is hanging on him like the monkey that she is. Marrinette rolls her eyes and groans. Adrien unhooked himself for Chloe.
"Listen Chloe... We need to talk."
"Oh Adripoo! Have you finally realized you undying love for me?" Chloe says, batting her eyelashes.
"No. I've finally realized my undying love for Marrinette."
"What?"
"Marrinette and I are dating."
"What is wrong with you people?" Chloe storms off and whips out her phone. She sends a text and not five minutes later, Sabrina runs up with a box of tissues a movie and ice cream. They walk off crying together.
"Well that just happened." Adrien says lamely.
"Well I think you handled that well."
"Thanks, Mari." Adrien says holding out his hand. Marrinette takes it and they walk up the marble steps to school together.
"What is with our friends?" Nino asks. Alya pulls out her phone and captures a picture of Marrinette and Adrien holding hands.
"I really have no idea," says Alya, "but this is gonna go viral." She holds out the picture with one hand and puts the other on her hip. Nino nods.
"Oh yeah" he says, "and if I know one thing, it's that Paris is gonna be filled to the brim with girl tears tonight!"
