Fever
"Sakura-chan! Are you alright?"
No reply.
"Sakura-chan!" Little Naruto got hold of 5-year-old Sakura's petite shoulders.
"I…" was all her reply.
She can feel her blood rushing through her veins. She felt her heart missing a beat. And her face is hot, sizzling red hot. This was the first time that this happened to her, just after seeing little Sasuke that morning.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto called. "Sakura-chan's got a fever!"
Fever? Nice guess.
Kakashi placed his hand over Sakura's wide forehead. "Whoa, she's hot alright." He pretended his hand got burned and blew on it,even with his mask on. "But I don't think it's a fever."
But Naruto protested loudy. "No! No! Sakura-chan definitely has a fever; just look at her!"
Such a stubborn kid. Would he just listen to the expert? thought Kakashi as he sighed. Yes, he knows this kind of stuff after reading Icha Icha nonstop 24/7. But this time, it's way below his level.
"Okay, Naruto, you win," he said, completely against his will. Don't want Iruka to scold me for making Naruto cry again.
Naruto raised his hands and celebrated his very first (after 15 losses) victory; so much for worrying about Sakura.
Sakura rested under an oak tree. The poor girl can't handle Sasuke's appealing aura for very long…
Meanwhile, Kakashi pat Sasuke's head. "Gotta hand it to you, Sasuke, you're really good," he said as he glanced at the sleeping girl.
Sasuke looked at his sensei, totally oblivious. Too bad he didn't know what his charm had done. Nevertheless, he just shrugged and gave a questioning smile at Kakashi. "Umm…Thanks?"
Kids… But was it really a fever? What do YOU think?
