I don't own anything.
The entire Great Hall watched in anticipation as the prefect stood against the two pranksters in the middle of the room.
"Face it, 'Mione. You have no proof," George, one of the pranksters, boasted, grinning broadly.
"And you'll never get us to tell who did it," Fred, twin of George and another of the pranksters, continued with a laugh.
"Oh I will," Hermione, the prefect, replied, narrowing her eyes.
The twins were right, for once. A prank had been pulled off, one of which neither the prefects nor teachers had any evidence, and it was only a week into the school year. They still had no solid proof against anyone. Hermione was going solely on instinct – the twins had been whispering suspiciously in the common room the day before, a sure sign that they were up to something. The entire school body had bright blue hair, including the staff. This was exactly something the two would do, and Hermione knew better to trust them when they were whispering.
"I'll break you down until you tell," she warned. The two just laughed at her.
"I'd like to see you try," Fred taunted.
"Gonna try to guess our weaknesses?" George asked her, a challenge in his voice. Hermione grinned.
"Who said I need to guess?" she replied haughtily, partially bluffing.
"Oh please, you'll never know our weaknesses. No one will ever break us!" The twins exclaimed in unison. Fred raised an eyebrow as Hermione smirked at him.
"You think I can't break you?" she challenged. Fred grinned.
"Yeah, pretty much," he answered with a chuckle. The last thing he saw was her smirk before her lips made contact with his.
Overcoming his initial shock, he wound his right hand through her hair, holding her to him, pulling her closer.
She pulled away after the intense kiss, leaving him in a daze. A smirk gracing her features, she spoke again. "Would you mind telling me who was responsible for this prank?" she asked innocently. Neither of them noticed the dead silence in the Great Hall.
"George made the potion, me and Lee spread it around," he replied, eyes hazy and focused only on her. She smiled a wicked grin.
"Thanks! I'll see you three in detention then!" she exclaimed cheerfully, turning on her heel and plopping herself down in her seat, starting to eat once again.
Her words snapped Fred back to attention. "Hey! You tricked me!" he shouted irritably, in utter disbelief that she had just gotten him to admit. She smiled up at him for a split second before turning back to her food, fully focused on eating dinner. It was then that Fred noticed the entire Great Hall, minus Hermione, staring at him in shock, his twin included.
His face reddened slightly as he quickly sat down in the closest seat. Which meant he sat next to Hermione. After a few minutes of awkward silence, the residents of Hogwarts returned to talking, most about the scene that had just occurred.
Hermione waited until Fred's face returned to normal color again to speak to him. "You know, I think I quite like giving you detention. I'll have to do it more often," she told him under her breath with a smirk, watching his face light up with a brilliant red. He was the only one she would flirt with, because he was the only one who would blush while flirting back.
"Are you giving me permission to cause trouble?" He smirked, his face still red, just the way she liked it.
I just thought this would be different, most people have Fred rarely blushing. I think he'd blush if he truly liked the person flirting with him.
Or, you know, if the entire Great Hall saw her kiss him.
I hope you liked it, I certainly did.

ps. I can't write a kiss for the life of me. Sorry it sucked.
