The Christmas Vacation

It was a week and three days before Christmas, and Central was a bit busy for the upcoming celebration, Sweet Old Christmas...

In Central, specifically in Colonel Roy Mustang's office...

Everyone was a bit busy, but in their minds was the upcoming holiday.

...In Havoc's mind...

Thank God it's Christmas, at least I could take a break, and... see more ladies frequently.

Then he smirked as he stared out the window...

" Havoc, will you please at least concentrate with your work. I don't see any reason why you have to stare out the window for fifteen minutes. Nothing's out there." Riza Hawkeye spoke out annoyingly.

"Of course there is! It's Christmas!" Falman defended.

"But it's not yet Christmas, and I don't know what makes everyone happy when Christmas is coming." She replied.

"There are thousands of reasons! Gifts, cash, bonus money, celebration, food, family, friends!" Kain Fury enumerated happily with teary eyes. Roy Mustang just listened to their sudden debate. But with her sudden change of expression, especially when Fury said about family, she seemed to be sad and lonely, but tried to be stiff as usual.

"If that's what you think Mr Fury, have you ever thought of the opposite things about that. Like spending your money. Some people don't have enough money to buy gifts for everyone so they ge tempted to do crime for their own greediness. Christmas needs lots of money to enjoy that one whole day." She said with a bit mean tone in it.

"But you actually don' need money to buy a family and friends. That's one special thing why people enjoy Christmas. " Havoc said, trying to make her surrender.

Then she became silent, with the thought of the word family.

"But you see, not all people have a family to share their Christmas." She said sullenly with keen eyes.

Everyone went silent as they recalled that she was only left alone already.

"Excuse me, I'll just go get a drink." She said and went out of the office.

Another minute of silence came, and one spoke out bravely.

"well that's a reason she's always stiff." Havoc smirked

"but I don't find it very funny Havoc." Warned by Mustang.

"I didn't mean to hit her when I meant by the family thing." He complained.

And everyone went back to work...
