Hey guys. This story is an idea that I got after a whole month of reading Archie Sonic (just now, can I still consider myself a Sonic fan?). I mean, I know and rode many things about Archie Sonic, and I watched Sonic Satam in my childhood, but to be honest I was more familiar with Sonic the Comic or Fleetway Sonic, because one is more based on the games, and two it was more present in my country than Archie. To be honest, I only heard about Archie Sonic a few years back. Then again, I dig more the games and the cartoon series, especially Sonic Underground. And to my readers of Sonic Underground season 2, don´t worry I will continue that story. This is just a side project, small one to be exact, practically equivalent to a Archie comic. It´s just that after I rode the stories in Archie I get this cool idea, mainly around the character Fiona the Fox, or better yet the two Fionas, as the title suggests. Of course Tails will be heavily implied, along with Scourge (gotta love that bad ass alternate Sonic version), Sonic (of course) and the rest of the freedom fighters and destructix. But one character I will not reveal, although if anyone knows Sonic very well will immediately recognize it. In fact he opens the story along with Auto Fiona.
Anyway, here goes nothing. Oh, and I don´t own Sonic or any character what so ever, just the story.
Prologue
In a lone island, waves reach its sand. At first it appears to be one of these small lone islands in the ocean, but a closer inspection could reveal that this island was in fact made mainly of metal, housing complex machinery that now was just rusting after not being used for so long.
And speaking of rusting, facing the ocean was what appeared a small girl fox, red fur and brown hair with a yellow ribbon. At first anyone who saw it would say it was Fiona the Fox, ex-Freedom fighter and now member of the Destructix which was lead by her boyfriend Scourge the Hedgehog. But a second look could reveal that this fox seemed younger than Fiona, not to mention the visibly signs of rusting that covered her mechanical body. This was indeed Auto Automaton, also known as Auto Fiona or Fiona the False Fox.
Like the island she was a creation of the mad evil genius Julian Kintobor, aka Dr. Robotnik. Of course now her creator is nothing more than a bad memory, since the actual one is another version of him, Robo Robotnik or Dr. Eggman as he is known now. Several years back she was modeled based on the real Fiona and later activated with the sole purpose of deceiving and capturing Tails. Of course that failed and now she was nothing more than a corpse left forgotten by all, at least that´s how it was supposed to be.
"There you are."
A shadow covered the mechanical corpse, as a metallic claw touched her shoulders. That claw belonged to a figure covered in a brown robe. It was taller than the Automaton, perhaps slightly taller than the average Mobian, glowing red circular eyes looking at the Automaton, as if examining her.
"It took me some time, but at last I found you. One of the remaining creations of the true Dr. Robotnik." said a monotone grave voice, as if belonging to a robot.
The figure in robe stares at the blank lifeless eyes of the Automaton. It is probably being shut down for some time. All previous creations of Robotnik would function for some time, until they had no power.
"You will do fine, just fine. Now let us get out of this depressing place. Hopefully you will never return to it again." said the figure as it lifts the mechanical being with its right hand. Having a firm grip on the Automaton the figure starts to hover and flies out of the island in a slow but firm speed.
"I wonder how they will react. Your presence will surely bring back the kid some nasty memories, although not as bad as those of your organic counterpart."
The figure laughs maniacally, as it starts to fly at an incredible speed, nearly breaking the sound barrier.
