Disclaimer: SM and whichever movie studios own all things Twilight. Disney owns all that is Frozen. Which really sucks.
A/N: As with all my stories this is extremely AU and the characters you know and love will be OOC, this is your fair warning on that. You also deserve the fair warning that this is unbeta'd at this point, if someone out there is interested in betaing this for me just drop me a PM. And for those not paying attention to the pairing and the like, this will have incest, for the third and final time you've been warned. Though the story line for Frozen stays cannon, it's after the Great Thaw that things change and it actually takes place in the 1st century (in the 900s) instead of the 1840s that Disney hints at. And since everything stays the same, Arendelle is obviously way ahead of its time; sadly it doesn't stay that way.
As she looked over her home in its entirety she couldn't help but sigh at the twinge her heart gave. She was going to miss her home, but more than that she was going to miss her. Her heart already ached and yearned for her True Love and witnessing her getting married years ago had almost killed her.
This time the sigh she gave was even heavier, she was happy that her sister was happy and had the family she wanted but that didn't stop the pain from knowing someone else was able to openly love and worship Anna the way she longed to. Thankfully though she did have her lover who helped keep her sanity and her heart from completely shattering during that time. Knowing that eventually Anna would be theirs was somewhat of a balm to her aching heart. Everything in its time, as her lover was fond of saying. And her time was almost up.
She would be eternally grateful that her lover already had everything planned out and was taking care of everything for her. Though a part of her did resent the fact that she had to stay up here in her ice palace on the North Mountain while her lover took care of business, the rational part completely understood why it had to be this way. If she were there, even in secret, to witness her sister's reaction to the news of her death there would be no way she could keep herself hidden. And she wasn't totally alone up here she had Olaf, Marshmallow and Skadi to keep her company while she waited for the return of her lover.
"I'm going to miss them something fierce," came a sigh from Elsa's right as a light weight leaned against her leg. Elsa dropped her hand from the railing and gently caressed the back of Olaf's head as she continued to look out over Arendelle.
"I already do, but think of it this way Olaf. In a few years' time Anna will be joining us and our family will be almost complete." Elsa responded.
"So does that mean a few years after Anna joins us that Idun, the twins and Kristoff will be joining us?!" Olaf leaned back looking up at Elsa excitedly.
Chuckling Elsa looks down at the snowman. "No, they are meant for Arendelle. There are others that are meant for our family."
"How many? Who? Where are they? When will they join our family?" Olaf let out in one breath.
Elsa turns back to watch the castle this time. "I don't know the answers to those questions. But they will be answered."
"When? When will they be answered?" Olaf goes back to leaning against Elsa's leg and watches the castle with her.
"Everything in its time." Elsa rolled her eyes at herself; she couldn't believe that she actually used her lover's saying.
