Disclaimer: I don't CSI: NY or Lindsay...Fine. I don't own Danny either! Hey a girl can dream!
A/N: Another little drabble for the Ficathon! This is my personal favorite out of all of them! I had so much fun writing it!
Lindsay smiled up at her partner when he entered their office and placed a cup of hot coffee in front of her. "Good morning to you too Danny." She greeted his as though this was a surprise, but really it was a regular occurrence.
"Mornin' Montana." Danny drawled out in his strong Stanton Island accent. He sat down as his desk and leant forward. 'Please don't do it. I just want one morning where I don't have to spend the rest of the day in agony. Okay so it's a blissful agony, but that's not the point.' Lindsay thought to herself as she watched Danny from across the desks,'
He gave her one of her overall sexy, trademark smiles that made her go weak at the knees before asking, "So what do we got today?" Danny licked his lips as he finished. 'God,' Lindsay thought, 'Here we go again. The things that man does to me. I swear it takes all my strength not to lean over and kiss his senseless. One of these days, Messer, one of these days.'
She shook her head and brought herself back to reality. To her surprise she found Danny's blue eyes starring straight back into her brown ones. "Paper work for right now." Danny nodded and they both went back to work, each lost in thought, neither of them knowing that they were the center of the other's thoughts.
A few minutes passed and Danny thought it was safe to sneak a glance at his partner. She was focused on her computer screen and was sucking on the cap of a pen. In a matter of seconds, Danny felt that familiar burning occur in the pit of his stomach. 'How does she do that? Jus t one simple action can make me was to push her up against the nearest hard surface and have my way with her. No other girl has ever made me feel that way she makes me feel.' He sighed and his mind drifted to things that definitely didn't relate to work.
Danny turned his head just in time to escape Lindsay's eyes. Lindsay smiled as she caught Danny looking at her, but decided to let it slide.
'Just another day, working with Danny Messer.'
'Just another day, working with Lindsay 'Montana' Monroe.'
AN: Let me know how ya liked it! Now I'm gonna go get writing more chapters of 'Life Goes On'.
