Disclaimer: I love Sailormoon so I wrote this story. Well, the characters aren't mine because they were long ago copyrighted. I just borrowed them. Anyway, here is another of Usagi's story I'm bringing to you. And, I desperately need some R+R here. Arigato Gozaimasu!
A Blue and White Dream Came True by usagi-shikibu
It was Saturday morning. Again, I'm going to enjoy gardening with Mamoru. At the kitchen, I made some coffee for the two of us, preferably black coffee. It has been a year since we've been married.
That was on the 8th of August, I remember, I wore a white beaded gown, the blue beads formed a crane gracefully printed from my breast to my knee. I also had a blue veil delicately covering my face. The entourage was all and purely designed by Makoto. She is already a renowned fashion designer in Europe. I held the bouquet near my breast and I felt my heart beating so strong, strong like that when you're in the operating room. I almost forgot, Minako was our wedding planner; sorry Minako!
The church was like a blue-and-white Ming porcelain as Mamoru and I decided to go for blue. We chose blue because we both felt that this color symbolizes a lot. Yes, that was the greatest day of my life. As I walked down the aisle, Haruka and Michiru sang and played The Jets' "Lalalalalalalalala Means I Love You.". To tell you, Haruka and Michiru became two of the greatest jazz musicians in Japan.
I continued walking down the aisle, gracefully, of course, when… I stepped on a wire, stumbled and fell. No, that was just a joke. Seriously saying, someone grabbed my hand and said, "Marry him and be true. The stars are still guiding you.". It was Chibi. She's currently a college student taking Nuclear Medicine in New York.
I was almost near to Mamoru when suddenly, one of my heels broke. A heel? Yes, I was like a scoliotic. Standing straight yet one shoulder seems to be positioned lower than the other. You got me, right?
The good thing's that, no one noticed I almost fell. If there was, that person would have promptly reacted. Fortunately, no one did. Thanks to Makoto, she designed my gown as long and as grand as that of Princess Diana of Wales.
Before the priest bid his blessings upon the two of us, Mamoru whispered something to me. "I'm not going to marry you because you're the prettiest girl in the world but because my heart has brought me to you. We'll get old and our hair going to be white and gray, I don't care, so long as you're with me. Usagi, my love shines like pure gold getting shinier each day we love each other, please remember.", he romantically said. I was definitely involved to those words, I almost forgot, this is the day!
The moment has come. The moment to say, "I do", to vow to be with each other in times of pain, sorrow, happiness, joy. I felt as if I'm a real woman that time. I was complete.
Remembering those times is very rewarding. Now, Mamoru and I still keep our vows. Today's Saturday, another day to make pure gold shinier than it was yesterday. In this simple house, where an archaeologist and a microbiologist live, blooms true love. Yes, I'm with the one I truly love. "Usagi, look at this, our orchids are blooming. How lovely…", Mamoru called.
