Another fic I wrote a few months ago. My writing wasn't the best back then, as you can clearly see…
I don't own Star Wars.
Obi-Wan tiptoed quickly down the path of a small, secluded garden. He threw his senses out like a net, searching for his catch in the dark. And in this case, he was looking for someone. Faint artificial lighting cascaded down walls and caused eerie shadows of normally tranquil fountains and green, lush plants. An arm fell on his wrist. Stifling a gasp, he allowed himself to be pulled down a smooth path and under the protective shade of a huge plant.
Blue eyes met his, and strong arms encircled him. "Siri, where were you?" he hissed, his voice barely a whisper.
"Where were you, I think you mean," Siri teased lightly, her glittering eyes and face dancing in the moving shadows as they rocked back and forth, disturbing the ferns. Obi-Wan grinned in spite of himself.
Remembering they still held each other, he gently pulled back. "We shouldn't be here." "But..." Siri trailed off. Her hands fell limp at her sides. "I know." he paused. How to tell her without hurting her? There was no other way, he figured.
"It's forbidden."
He hated bossing her around like her Master and lecturing her about the Jedi Code.
"I know," Siri said sharply. "We can't be together, but we need to be together. It's all been said before." she turned away.
Obi-Wan knew it was his turn to say something, preferably something consoling. But all the deception, the lies he told Qui-Gon and his friends just to see her tonight, were agony. He couldn't bear to look his Master in the eyes and see nothing but trust, when he was disobeying the law of the Order, and the only one it seemed his Master was not keen to break. "Let's-" he began. Siri cut him off, her voice cracking.
"Give each other up." Now that she suggested it, he felt betrayed. "I love you," she began. "But I need to be a Jedi. Do you know what I went through to get here?" she paused, tears in her eyes. "Don't answer that. But I'm failing at everything else. My saber training… piloting… not even meditation works."
"Then you must go."
Siri broke down and sobbed. "I can't. My heart is torn."
...Yeah, I know. Short, sappy, not romantic at all...well, this is my first real attempt at Obi/Siri, and I'm not too sure how to keep them in character or anything. I'll rewrite sometime, if anyone really wants me to, but other than that I will leave it as it is.
Reviews make my day. :)
