The Lion
Author's Note: Okay a poem, by me… we're studying poetry in Language Arts/English Class, so I decided to write a few poems. I will probably not post these until the unit is over, so probably June. I'm writing this in May, so June is quite a while from now. SO this is dedicated to Aslan… I'm going to put book initials in parentheses (like this) so you know what book the stanza is talking of. So that's clear… 17 July 2008: I hopefully fixed some probelms... Now for the Aslan poem.
Majestic, Magical, Mysterious,
Yet still strangely serious.
Singing His song,
All the day long,
So that there may be,
A new world so He,
May teach us something new. (MN)
Standing with His golden mane,
Shaking His magnificent head,
So that we may have spring again. (LWW)
He can scare us all, to teach us a lesson,
But He can make us happy, and give His blessing. (HHB)
Not always showing Himself to us,
But He will help us if we must
Defeat the evil and the bad,
Without so much that is so very sad. (PC)
Keeping His feline form is not always what He does,
Yet He still seems to trust us. (VDT)
He can call newcomers into His world,
Some people find themselves hurled
Into adventures so grand,
I am sure that you'd hardly understand. (SC)
But when it is time for us to leave,
It seems he unsheathes
His sword of magnificence and good,
And opens up a world we never imagined would be understood. (LB)
The Lion is good.
