A/N Hey guys, this is my first story so I would appreciate it if you're not too hard on me. This is just an idea that I had that not many people had explored, with Perseus as Chaos' brother. I draw inspiration from many different fanfiction stories and books, so you feel that anything in this story is familiar, you have likely read it before. Please don't come after me for similar ideas as other stories as I have likely read them years ago and will not know whether I came up with it myself or if I came across it before. It is also impossible for me to have read all the fanfiction stories on this site, so any coinciding ideas may just be something that both me and the other author(s) have thought of. However, I will try my best to remain original as much as possible. On a side note, I use British spelling, so if you use American English please don't think they're spelling mistakes! Also, I apologise for the short chapter, but I just wanted to get this out there quickly to see what you guys think about it. Without further ado, here's the story:

Chapter 1- Origins

At first there was only nothingness, left there for millennia, never changing. Tired of many years of slumbering, the entity, who had named itself Void, decided that it was time for some progress. This entity was, and still is, a much too complex concept for the human mind to grasp. He was much more than a simple god, and he encompasses everything in the known universe, and is, directly or indirectly, the creator of everything that exists today.

Simply put, he was an omnipotent deity that created the universe.

Back to the story, Void began the process of forming the universe, through the creation of another entity. He formed it in the image of himself, carefully sculpting every part of his body, leaving only slight changes in features that he felt could be improved.

After the creation of the deity's physical form, Void realised that he had forgotten to give it life; and hastily proceed to amend this, imagining part of himself in the entity, unknowingly giving him a portion of his power and knowledge. The deity could only be described as perfect; with a perfect body and the creator's mind, the only thing he lacked was a name. And so the perfect deity was given an equally fitting name, Perseus.

Perseus, he spoke in his mind, my son! You shall accomplish great things! Now go forth and continue what I have started, creation! Always protect it and never let anyone prevent you from achieving your goal. For now, I will have to rest, for your creation has left me drained. Know that I am always watching over you and should you need anything else my help, just pray to me and I will try my best to aid you.

Perseus felt the presence of his father leave his mind, felling more than a little part of himself missing. While slightly saddened a the loss of his father, he promised himself to carry out his father's request to the best of his ability. With that, he began work on his goal.

A/N So, how was the story? Do you like my idea? Hate it? Leave a follow, favourite, and review if you hope to see me continue this story!
