Will I Be Saved?

What did you say? Do you mean what you said? Is it the truth? Are these the words I've been hopelessly waiting to hear from you, Jaden? I've been hopelessly head over heels for you, and you're going to sacrifice yourself... Will I be saved? Or will I be another sacrifice? Please, help me.

You don't need help. You're stronger now. You shall never fail. This boy is fooling with your mind. He doesn't love you, Alexis. He's only trying to stop you from reaching the top. You cannot give in. I won't let you give in.

Stop it. Get out of my head. Let me be with Jaden. Let me go back to my friends. Get out of my head.

I stood there, battling with myself. Jaden's words pounding in my confused mind. He watched me with his fearful chocolate brown eyes. He was searching my eyes for something... some sort of sign that I could break free from Sartorious' control. I realized now, I was brainwashed. I had to fight.

No! He is a cold liar trying to dispose of you! You must not listen to him!

Get out of my head, get out of my head, I'm not listening to you. He loves me. He loves me as much as I love him. He's trying to save me! Now get out of my head!

I felt strange, as if I wasn't really there. My body was numb and my vision was blurred. My body hurt and was heavy. My mouth was dry so I couldn't call out. I stood transfixed, still tryng to break through. Still trying to reveal the dark secret in my heart.

Will I be saved?

No!

I smiled. Realizing the truth was standing in front of me. He was standing there. He was the truth in my life. His name was Jaden Yuki. And he was the boy I loved. But I was still being held back, but I knew I had to fight.

Will I be saved? I now know my answer...

"Alexis!"

His voice broke through my battle, giving me a new strength. I could finally see perfectly, and I could see how worried he was. Jaden didn't move though. I knew that if he did, he would loose the duel.

"Alexis! Are you here now!?"

Jaden's voice was frantic. I thought of the words that made me awake from my dark sleep.

'The day I duel you with all my heart is the day I've fallen for you...'

You have dueled me with all your heart, Jaden. You have fallen for me. And I for you.

Will I be saved?

Yes...

Jaden will be my savior...

I whispered the only words I could muster before I was controlled once more. The only words that I could manage to say before Sartorious took my independence and my will.

"My love for you still shines... even if I'm blinded by light..."

I shall be saved...
