Ben was in his room, on his laptop waiting for Amy to call. She said she would give him a call after she had put John down for bed, which was normally at Eight-Thirty. Nervously, Ben glances at the clock at the bottom of his screen and read aloud, "Nine." Thinking it could not be true; he reached over to his nightstand and picked up his cell phone. It said the same thing. He placed the phone next to him and just continued to surf the web. Quickly, reaching boredom he closes the laptop and got up off his bed and walked over to the window and looked out to his front yard. At the beginning of his drive way, someone was walking up towards his house. Not knowing who it was he dashed over to the mirror hanging up above his dresser.

Ben checked his hair, which was slicked backed and then his teeth, which were white as pearls. 'It could be Amy. Hopefully, that would be a nice surprise.' Ben thought before turning off the light to his room, he looked back to make sure everything was in order and then turned the light switch to off. He slid his hands down his plain white tee-shirt as he walked down the hallway to the staircase. 'Maybe this is why she didn't call. I mean I did barely hear from her today, and I would like to see her.' Ben was thinking as he took two stairs at a time. When he finally reached the bottom, the visitor rang the doorbell. 'Perfect timing.' Ben thought with a smile on his face. As he opened the wood oak door Ben started to say, "Hell-" But instead, "Ricky?" came out.

Ricky, ran his hand throw his long, slicked back hair and stared at Ben with those big eyes, like he wanted to cry, but couldn't. "Is that really, how you answer your door? No, wonder people don't come over very often to see you."

"Well, no. That's not how I normally answer the door; I just thought you were someone else, which you clearly are not." Ben had lost the smile on his face. "Anyways, care to come inside?"

"As a matter of fact, I was wondering if you could come outside." When Ricky was last with Ben, alone, he almost came close to kissing him, but instead, Ricky had punched him. 'At least his eye is looking better.'

"Okay, just don't punch me in the face. Please." Ben said as he stepped outside. He looked up at the sky and stared at the stars.

"I will not punch you." Ricky couldn't help but roll his eyes at Ben. "I just wanted to say, sorry, for punching you at the butcher-shop the other day."

'Oh good, about a week later, he says Sorry. Why is he saying sorry now?' "You came all the way over to my house just to say sorry? That's not like you." Ben looked at Ricky he was could tell Ricky was nervous about something. Ricky was looking everywhere, but at Ben.

'For the love of God, Ricky, just do it. Don't think, just do.' Ricky thought. At a quick motion, Ricky took his hands and grabbed Ben's face towards him. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion for Ricky. Then, it happened. His lips touched Ben's. It felt like lighting had hit right down between them, at least for Ricky it did. Slowly, Ricky pulled away as Ben just stood there staring at him in complete shock. "I'm sorry," Ricky said as he started to walk away.
