D'Void smiled at four Null Guardians as he walked near them in the Null Void. ''I am looking forward to battling my enemies. They will not defeat me after you devour them, my pets.'' He paused and scratched a Null Guardian's face. The villain's smile remained.
He scratched the other Null Guardians' faces.
D'Void frowned as soon as all four Null Guardians snarled. After squinting, he saw Helen and Manny with Pierce. His eyes became wide for a moment. D'Void viewed the trio approaching the Null Guardians. His frown returned. *My enemies are not going to defeat me* he thought.
''The Null Guardians won't be able to protect you, D'Void,'' Manny said. Scowling, he aimed three weapons at D'Void and the creatures.
''Here are three reasons why the Null Guardians won't protect you.''
''You will not conquer the Null Void after you are imprisoned, D'Void,'' Pierce said.
Many lasers emerged from Helen's weapons. They contacted D'Void before they caused him to collapse on one knee.
D'Void proceeded to scowl. He stood at a snail's pace. He turned to the Null Guardians. ''End the lives of my enemies slowly and painfully,'' he said.
D'Void viewed the Null Guardians attacking the trio. He heard the creatures while they screeched. A cruel smile began to replace his scowl.
D'Void's eyes were on Pierce and Helen with Manny before they ran from the Null Guardians.
Everyone disappeared from view. D'Void concentrated on the red sky while he continued to smile. The sky was the color of blood.
D'Void eventually frowned again. His pets never returned.
*I am not going to endure solitude any longer* D'Void thought.
Helen and Manny appeared with Pierce.
D'Void gasped. His Null Guardians were not with the trio. Glowering, he trembled.
Helen rolled ahead of Manny and Pierce. She approached D'Void. She aimed weapons at her enemy before lasers contacted him another time.
D'Void winced after every laser struck his form. He saw Helen with Pierce and Manny. ''The Null Guardians,'' he muttered while he frowned.
''We ran from the Null Guardians earlier. Your pets are probably still wandering the Null Void,'' Helen said to her enemy.
D'Void scowled and trembled another time. He winced as soon as additional lasers from Helen's weapons struck him. He collapsed on a knee again. *I'm too weak to battle my enemies* D'Void thought.
''You are going to endure solitude in a cell, D'Void,'' Helen said.
After standing again, D'Void turned and ran. *I'll end the lives of my enemies later.* D'Void winced again and collapsed on a rock.
*I'm going to die from my wounds* he thought. He began to smile another time. Tears streamed down the villain's face. *I endured solitude prior to my death. I'll endure solitude in the afterlife.* D'Void shut his eyes and never opened them.
