D'Void wandered for what seemed like hours. He hopped from one rock to another rock in the Null Void. Frowning, he glanced over his shoulder.
*My Null Guardians followed me earlier* the villain thought. He wondered if his pets were distracted and departed. *Perhaps the Null Guardians saw my enemies first.* His eyes became wide after Helen and Pierce appeared with Manny.
''Try conquering the Null Void in a cell,'' Pierce said while he scowled at D'Void.
''The search for my enemies ends,'' D'Void said as he grinned.
Manny glowered and aimed two weapons at the villain. He observed Helen imitating him before he saw D'Void again. ''Your Null Guardians aren't always going to protect you.'' A cruel smile materialized on Manny's face. ''You are weak without the Null Guardians, D'Void.'' Manny continued to smile. ''Maybe your pets abandoned you,'' he said.
D'Void cried out after a laser from one of Manny's weapons struck his right shoulder. Tears formed in his eyes as he winced. He collapsed.
''You are too weak to battle your enemies, D'Void,'' Manny said.
Six Null Guardians appeared and flew to D'Void before the trio gasped. Four of them pursued D'Void's enemies. The two remaining Null Guardians carried D'Void to his citadel.
D'Void smiled. *I might be weak, but my pets are strong* he thought.
