Disclaimer: I don't own PJO or HO.

I ran. Rain poured down from the sky. The streets were slick, but I still ran. It was coming.

Don't slip.

Lightning split the sky. I saw its shadow flash across a building. Forked tongue tasting the air.

Python. I swear Apollo killed it.

Thunder roared. I kept running. It hissed. Closer. I darted down an alley.

Where am I?

My sword was gone. Broken. The snake bit it. That was why I ran.

Don't get lost.

Another flash. I saw Olympus, the Empire State Building's silhouette.

Just there. If I get there, I swear I'll never doubt you again.

The sky roared again. I glanced back. Its eyes gleamed in the dark. I turned right.

Where's that road?

I lost my shield. She took my finger too. Training was brutal that way. But anything was better than this. So I ran back to her.

Don't stop now.

Its shadow was getting closer. I saw it as fire ripped through the storm.

Fire. Storm. I could swear there was a prophecy.

An explosion rocked the clouds. But it didn't care. It was still hunting. Hunting me. I played the prey. Down another blackened street.

Where am I supposed to go now?

I didn't have a plan. No one knew what do to with this. Trailed by a mythic snake. So I ran.

Don't let this be the end.

It was coming. I saw its head block out the light that flashed above. The shadow fell on the concrete wall in front of me.

This is it. I swear to the gods, if I live I will do anything you ask.

It reared and hissed. The storm growled approval. I had nowhere to turn. Except to my fate.

Where ever you are, I'm sorry.

I had nothing to lose anymore. It lunged. A shadow rippled across the alley. A shower of gold expanded and faded as my world turned to black. I didn't have anywhere to run.

Review. But think about it first. Think about every little detail.
