Mordecai decided that he would finally tell Margaret how he felt. Though, he still felt unsure of this. Maybe it wasn't right. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. He knew he couldn't deny it for any longer though. He had to tell her. He decided it was already time.

The next morning, Mordecai got dressed and ready for the start of today. Today was new years eve and this was the moment he would finally get Margaret. He picked up the phone and went to call her. As he pushed each button, he felt his hand tense up ever more. He held the phone tightly in his hands and started to shake as he went on. He pressed call and heard the phone ring.

"Hello?", came a soft female sounding voice across the other line.

"Oh, uh. Hey it been?"

"Mordecai? Oh hey, whats up?"

"Nothing much happening around here. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go the carnival tonight. Me and Rigby are going and if you could bring Eileen that would be cool to."

"The carnival huh? Sounds like a great way to spend new years eve. I'll be there."

"Cool. So, see you uh, around sevenish?"

"Sure! I'll be ready before then! Pick me up at my house okay? Bye."

"Bye Margaret."

Mordecai drew a loud forced breath. He couldn't believe it. He actually did it. Now all he had to do was get him and Margaret alone in order for things to go perfectly. Surely the night will go right. I mean it's new years eve of course! Though the butterflies in his stomach didn't seem to go felt a sudden rush of happiness invade his body. He was ready for tonight.
