As winter time came again, crystallised ice covered the tall pine trees and a thick white sheet of soft untouched snow covered every spot of the quiet town. A single car was parked in the carpark of a tourist trap- too men dressed in matching hooded coats exited the vehicle. One holding a red duffle bag on his left shoulder and a backpack hung over the other shoulder. The other mean clinging a book to his chest to protect it from getting covered in the swift falling snow from above.
"You okay there Stan?" Ford bellowed from the other side of the vehicle.
"eh, yeahhh" The other man replayed- he was obviously struggling but he wasn't planning on doing multiple trips back and forth to the car. "Okay- Okay, its fine I've got all this under-"as the man finished his sentence, he tipped backwards falling straight backwards into the snow. Sounds of muffle laughter was heard from the other side of the car.
"Oh Stan! Are you okay" the man covered his mouth- trying his best not to bust out laughing.
"Well guess this is my life now" Stan replied laying in the snow reeling in the defeat.
Ford ran around to help Stan up out of snow and Both men made their way to the front of the building and knocked on the door.
A redhead girl answered the door looking down at her phone and not taking much notice who she was talking too.
"Sorry dudes. The mystery Shack is closed for the holidays." as she turned away to shut the door Stan let out a loud Coughing noise to get her attention. The redhead turned around with excitement,
"Mr Pines! You never said you two was coming- Come here you old gits " She said When engaging ford in a playful headlock.
"Thanks for the hospitality" Ford replied sarcastically as he fluffed back his hair and straightened up his glasses.
"Where's Soos and Melody?" Ford questioned-
"And what exactly are you doing here?" Stan continued.
"Honestly I thought they would be back by now... em, They went out last minute Christmas shopping" She lied.
As Wendy finished her sentence the landline phone began to ring in the next room.
"Saved by the ring" she whispered under her breath-
"That might be them, Hold on." She said as she sprinted out the room.
Ford and Stan stood by door looking out at the scenery- The snow had gotten a lot wilder since they entered the shack.
"Not seen snow like this for years, Aha." Stan signed.
The last time it snowed this badly was in 1982.
