"Why do you keep doing this to yourself?!" She cried as she suddenly grabbed Chat's arms, making sure he was going to stay in place and listen to what she wanted to say to him. "You almost died because of me! Why would you even do that? Do you know how worried I was when I saw you just jump in front of me to take that hit? Immensely!" She saw him squirm a little, but she didn't care. He almost got himself killed. Killed. This stupid boy was going to be the end of her. "Why would you sacrifice your own life? Your life! I know we both have a life to live, and you shouldn't be wasting it on me. I don't even know what I would have done if you were gone from my life!" She bawled into his chest, crushing him into a hug. She didn't want to let go. She didn't want to see him possibly dying because of her. She just wanted time to stop so she could just hug him and make sure he was safe. This stupid kitty was just plain stupid. He doesn't know what she felt when he was about to be dead by a stupid akuma.
"Why, you stupid cat… why….." She squeezed him tighter.
"W-well," She heard her kitty stutter, "I-It's my job to protect y-"
"IT'S NOT YOUR JOB!" She yelled, looking up, tears still welling up in her eyes. Chat was taken aback, surprised by her outburst. She knew that she doesn't often get mad, but Chat was just being unfair to her. "Stop it, you hear me?! You are going to stop this nonsense about it's your 'job' to protect me. We're a team, Chat. We have each other's backs. Which means, I need you to help me with the akuma, not just me."
Silence fell over the two of them, the only sounds coming from the streets below and Ladybug's uncontrollable hiccups and sobs.
Slowly, Chat began to wrap his arms around her. As soon as Ladybug felt the contact of his clawed hand on her waist, she tumbled back into his chest and began crying again.
"Stop it, stop it ok? You are not my protector, not my protector…" She softly chanted.
"Sorry.." Chat mumbled into her hair, nuzzling her as well to comfort her.
