Message and a surprise

A/N: a short Taiora fluff
Tai sighed as he entered his apartment that he shares with his longtime girlfriend, Sora. He hasn't seen her since she left for one of her tennis tournaments. It's been three weeks.
Tai took off his coat and hung it on a random chair then he went over to check the answering machine where he saw he had two messages.
"Hey Tai, it's Kari I'm calling to remind you that we'll be watching Sora's tennis tournament at TK's, I mean my place"
Tai smiled at the last part of the message since Kari just recently moved into her boyfriend's apartment.
"Tai are you there? I guess not well I called just to let you know I'm doing fine and that I love you and hope to be home soon"
Tai closed his eyes to remember his girlfriend's voice.
Later that night
Tai was asleep on the couch after a failed attempted on trying to work on his homework.
The front door opened carefully and slowly a figure entered. The figure silently closed the door and set the bags they were holding and made there way to the couch.
"Tai, wake up Tai, its time to get up" the figure whispered in Tai's ear
Tai stirred, but didn't wake
The figured huffed, "Tai you lazy lump get up!"
Tai fell off the couch from the shout and looked around disoriented for a bit then saw spot the person who woke him.
"About time Kamiya I was worried I'd have to do something drastic to wake you"
"Sora, what are you doing here?" Tai asked when he was fully awake
Sora rolled her eyes, "I'm here because I live here or did you forget that"
"No, but shouldn't you be at the tournament?" Tai asked
"I should, but I decided that I couldn't stand being away from you for long periods of time and if I kept playing tennis I would so I forfeited" Sora said
"Sora, you love tennis I don't want to be the reason that you gave up your passion" Tai said pulling Sora into his lap
"Tai I love you and it kills me a little every time I have to travel to these things so decided on something that would keep me closer to home" Sora said snuggling into Tai's arms
"So, what have you decided?" Tai asked kissing Sora on the cheek
"Maybe a fashion designer, you remember I used to sketch a lot when I was bored art the flower shop" Sora said
Tai nodded
"So, what do you think?" Sora asked looking up at Tai
"I like it very much" Tai said kissing Sora afterwards
"I knew you would"
Tai decided to change his position and laid down pulling Sora with so she was lying on top of him.
Mmm, I miss this" Sora whispered
"I missed it too" Tai whispered and kissed the top of her head
The two laid there for a while just enjoying each other's company and warmth.
"Should I call Kari to let her know that you won't be playing and to set up a welcome home party?" Tai asked breaking the silence
"No, let's make it a surprise" Sora said sleepily
"Okay" Tai whispered pulling her closer
"Night Tai"
"Night Sora"
