"I thought that…" He mumbles unable to look at her. She sighs before reaching out to touch him. He cowers back.
"I didn't mean to hurt you. But I don't like you. Not like that."
"Well I don't like you at all! God you're such a stuck up little bitch!" He screams leaning in closer. She gasps. Tears already falling.
"That's not nice…"
"I don't care! I wasted all my time with you and for what?!"
"I do like you!" She repeats and tries to convince him.
"I'm not interested in being your friend! God I have plenty friends!"
"I'm sorry. But I'm not going to change my mind. And if you can't or won't accept my friendship than I have nothing else to say to you." He just stares at her. Weighing his options. He knew his outburst was uncalled for. She was the nicest, most pure of heart person he knew. That's why he loved her. And why he assumed she felt the same.
"Then I guess we have nothing to say to each other than Abby."
"Please Marcus. Don't be like this!" He shrugs.
"Be like what? You made it clear you don't like me. You rather be with him. Really? But whatever. It's none of my business. We all know that life sucks right?"
"You know what Kane?' He gives her a puzzled look at the usage of his last name, from her lips it sounded like a curse. 'Go screw yourself!" Abby doesn't wait for a response just turns and walks away.
