Her eyes awoke peacefully, yet her body did not. Emma knew instantly the second she woke up that morning that she was sick, and Emma Swan did not get sick easily and if she did she got REALLY sick. Her throat was so sore it was basically sealed shut, her entire body felt weighed down and as heavy as a rock, and she was sweating immensely underneath the sheets. She really did not feel like moving, but knew that if she called in sick at the sheriff station that she would have to deal with "Doctor Mary Margaret" and her famous chicken noodle soup that tasted like feet. So, she had to make a choice and going to work in these conditions definitely won that debate. She rolled out of bed and onto her feet, a spark of shivers ran up her spine as her feet touched the cold floor. She slid into a pair of jeans, white sweater, and red leather jacket (Per usual) and left the loft.
As she was walking to the sheriff's station she saw a tall figure leaned up against her yellow bug. With everything that was going on this morning she completely forgot that Hook always get her coffee, and walks her to work. As she was approaching she didn't even realize that she was basically sweating out by the second and becoming more and more light headed as she advanced. The one second she was just walking and the next all she could see was Killian dropping the coffee and yelling her name, until she drifted into a black abyss.
Emma awoke rather confused, yet very comfortable. She was laying in bed with a cold wet wash cloth draped over her forehead. She looked around her room and saw Hook sleeping in a chair across the room from her. Within a matter of seconds that comfort was destroyed with fit of coughs that flew into her system from nowhere. Hook woke immediately and was instantly at her side stroking her head trying to comfort her. When she was finally silent she grabbed onto hooks hand and sprawled out onto her bed in pain.
"You gave me quite the fright this morning swan."
"What the hell even happened?" She asked, not recalling her entire day.
"Well, when you greeted me at your bug, your eyes started to roll back and you fainted straight into my arms."
Emma huffed with pure sadness in her eyes. She really hated being sick, she felt most vulnerable.
"I'm sorry" She said as tears started to form into her eyes.
Hook reached out to her face and wiped away the tear with his face, when he noticed the temperature of her skin.
"Bloody hell Swan, your burning up!"
"Funny, cause i'm actually freezing." She said as she scrunched up into a ball trying to keep warm.
"Here, I will go get you some blankets-"
Right as he was just about to get up, Emma grabbed his hand.
"Can you just stay?"
Hook, looked into her eyes and gave her one of his breath taking smiles.
She scootched over and he cuddled up next to her, cradling her head up against his chest.
"I'm probably going to get you sick, you know?"
Hook chuckled at her concern, but just pulled her closer causing Emma so smile and role her eyes at the same time.
Within 3 minute Emma was out cold, and Killian eventually fell asleep as well. When dawn struck, Hook woke up, but he figured Emma wouldn't be up for a few hours so he didn't move and just let her sleep.
