Second Thoughts?
Rau walked into the office after briefing his team on their latest assignment, he then takes out his pills from his drawer, and when he was just about to take them he pauses…
Now that his plans are nearing completion, mankind will finally cease to exist, he asks, "Is everything worth it? Is everything he worked for since the discovery of his accursed fate since the beginning of his damned existence worth it? Now that he thinks of it how does his ambition to pass judgment on mankind actually benefit him, help him or save him from his damned life. How does it give back the youth he had lost to his premature aging or the childhood he had lost to mankind's greed?"
Soon an internal debate between the different sides of himself start in the recesses of his genocidal mind…
"Why do I want to do this?"
"I am simply doing what mankind will eventually do to themselves. The end is nearing and soon judgment will be passed"
"What about the innocents that have suffered throughout this war?"
"There are no innocents in this world. This world is filled by human beings who crave for power, wealth, fame and other material gains. For this reason man will eventually destroy each other in their pursuit for their ambitions and dreams. It is in human nature envy, hate, and finally to destroy." His other side replied.
"What is injustice? It is simply the absence of what humans call justice, and what is justice. The word itself disgusts me, to most it is the set of laws that the people or society with a justifiable cause write."
"Finally it boils down to what is justice. Simply putting it there is no justice in this world there never was. Mankind's so called justice is simply an excuse used to justify their actions. Ironic isn't it, using so many worlds that stem from the word justice, contradicting every statement I made to show the meaning of justice. So eventually justice is the ever changing excuses that mankind created to cover for their actions. Yes, crudely speaking 'cover' could serve as an appropriate word to replace justify. So what am I planning to do? I will pass judgment on humanity and break their chain of destruction and justice."
After contemplating on his actions, Rau regains his composure and his usual self-satisfied smirk and says," The time to pass judgment is nearing; the universe will finally be rid of mankind's wretched existence."
